It's the same everywhere: don't believe what you see in the movies!
Example: I'm not saying there is no gun crime in America - but it's a big country. I've lived here over 50 years, including more than 15 years in New York City, and I've never seen a real gun fight in my life!
It's the same in every country I think. Take away all guns and only the criminals will have guns. No matter where one lives, if you have the money, one will usually be able to get one.
There was a gun bird hunting club in Fukuoka. They used a Korean made air powered shotgun. You pumped it many times to build up pressure. It fired a little cartridge with tiny bird shot that were handloaded. I still have a set of cuff links they gave me for coming to their meeting to talk about guns and hunting in the US.
A car blew up in my street once. You can tell how rare it is by the fact the whole village came to look at it and we talked about it for days after. Or maybe that says more about my village than it does about exploding cars!
