Israeli teens murdered

Its people like that why I am not just plain rabid anti-Israel calling for destruction of their government and military. He tears apart a lot of myths about Israel being so kind, generous honest and infallible.

And it sounds like he had even more trouble accepting the truth about Israel than I had about America.

Thanks for posting this, Zorro, interesting video!

If you want to know more about Zionst dissenters, you should read Avi Shlaim and Norman Finkelstein. There's a lot of Jewish academia taking a very critical stance toward some of Israel's founding myths.

I cannot say I agree with all of what Mr. Peled says. In fact, his "proofs" are a bit thin in some places. I could pick him apart just as easily as many in the other camp I am afraid. BUT, he definitely said some things that were on the money that the pro-Israel side will never fully admit. And I can say that Mr. Peled is "talking right". You really cannot have good relations with anybody without that.

On the other side of the fence, you have some borderline insanity though. Its funny that you mentioned Norman Finkelstein. Here is something recently come from Alan Dershowitz, the same man that got Finkelstein's tenure blocked at DePaul University.

Shattering myths: The conflict between Israel and Hamas ? Japan Today: Japan News and Discussion

I think I had heard of Finkelstein before you mentioned him Thomas. But I did not recognize the name when you posted that and I had to relearn just about everything about him And, I read the crazy opinion piece from Dershowitz before reading details about Finkelstein and thought this guy Dershowitz is totally off his rocker. And now after reading what he did to Finkelstein and putting that together with the opinion piece I cannot help but hate this Dershowitz character. What an evil, insane POS! Its hard believe some people can't or won't see that. I might even open a thread about that scumbag.

A short but sweet comment on his opinion piece comes below it:

The author provides no corroborative evidence for anything he is saying.

Bingo. But people will just believe it all anyway. Cause they want to.

Picking Dershowitz apart would be almost TOO easy.

The picture in that video frame above looks like Miko Peled. He's a great guy, but his father (the general) deserves the real credit. After all, he was a warrior who did an about face, and must have taken a lot of heat for it. Miko did serve in the military, but was pretty much born into the peace activist thing.

i read the news and i saw how the israeli army is targeting kids and civilians in purpose, and in one of the videos that i watched the israeli army destroyed a whole neighborhood in 2 minutes, It's another Nazi war supported by the Western governments and Zionist Arab governments.
i expect a huge rage in Arab world if israel continue the massacre, Who knows maybe this time borders will be crossed and some dictators will fall.

Though I just said that I don't think Israel should exist as a Jewish state, the justification for such a state is rather easy to find. We need look no further than the fact that the rest of the world has shown itself eager to murder the Jews at almost every opportunity. So, if there were going to be a state organized around protecting members of a single religion, it certainly should be a Jewish state.

BOOM! Done with that. Not to deny the Shoah at all, but it was a one off event for Jews and it only happened in central Europe. If it was a constant thing, there would surely be no Jews left. Plenty of other peoples have been persecuted besides. So Bah! The writer needs to make up his mind about Israel and not waffle like that. And not say he thinks Israel is ridiculous one minute and justified the next. Its ...its....SLIMEY.

I support Israel's right to exist simply because it does exist and has for 50 years plus. Its the same with Palestine even if Israel does not recognize its right to exist.

Which are the "Zionist Arab governments?" I'm going to guess Jordan and Egypt.

Sorry Hezam, but I only had about six weeks of Hebrew (language) classes.
I did notice that one of the commenters, CreativeDota, wrote
I'm Israeli and I think that these people are stupid as f***.

My guess is that he would have taken the time to correct the translation if it was a different message.
Therefore, it's probably true.
I'm not positive, but common sense leads me to that deduction.

Thanks for reply alecgraham, i always seek reliable sources before i believe what the media says, The video was shown by Aljazeera channel 2 hours ago and i wanted to make sure it's 100% true.
It's not that i judge all israeli for what some mobs did, i've seen protests in Tel Aviv against war last week but celebrating killing kids ! i've never seen anybody celebrates such crime not even Alqaeda or ISIS !!

Much appreciated

They do, though. Just yesterday, I read about a Palestinian sniper who shot a ten-month-old baby in her stroller back in 2001. I saw this in Yaacov Lozowick's book, Right to Exist, but you can read about it here:
Murder of Shalhevet Pass - Wikipedia

I have no doubt that many Palestinian mothers were as upset about the killing as Israeli mothers, but in general, Palestinians celebrate the death of all Israelis (and Jews around the world).

i'm sorry to hear about her, but it's kinda weird for Palestinians to have snipers ! not to tell how he crossed the borders or why would he target 10 month old baby but it's still a crime and revenge for his baby doesn't justify killing inoccents.
The date made me wonder since it happened in 2001, i my self don't know how many palestinians have been killed since 2001 or how many houses been destroyed or lands been taken from palestinias, My only hope is that you don't mean anything else behind the 2001.

i assure you that the majority of Arab would never celebrate killing innocents, i've never seen any Arab celebrating kids killing or women killing, The only thing that i agree to is that Arab will be happy if israeli soldiers get killed. You might thing that Arab are crazy because of the media but Arab have high sense of Justice, i'm talking about people not the filthy governments.

I understand. I'd hit the Like button but it appears to be gone at the moment. I don't know why. It only appears where someone else has already Liked a post.

As for the date 2001, I'll provide some background. The author, Y.Lozowick is something like the opposite of Miko Peled. Not an exact opposite, but he spent his early years as a pro-peace protester who hated Sharon and ended up a Zionist (though always with some reservations). He was horrified by the shooting down of a Libyan passenger plane over Israeli airspace, the invasion of Lebanon, and other Israeli missteps.

I'll jump to 2000 and 2001 (but before 9/11), during which the author becomes disillusioned with the peace process. He outlines Arafat & Barak at Camp David, and then the beginning of the Second Intifada. He writes:

...the Palestinians had nothing to lose except lives and much to gain. They realistically assumed that no Israeli government would offer them dramatically more than Barak had, so they were trying the double track of violent pressure at home and massive pressure aboard, on the reasonable assumption that this would lead to even better terms: when you hold a winning hand, why stop playing?

But they had badly miscalculated. After all the speeches and declarations and reesolutions, the Palestinians must make peace with Israel, not with the UN or the European Union
...

Now I've always equated Israeli settlers with Jewish fanatics, but the author does not. (This is the first time I've encountered this, support for the settlers from a seemingly level-headed author). He mentions a physician who was mourned by his Palestinian patients along with his Jewish friends when he was killed. He describes the settlers' restraint while they are being butchered, all during a time when the Israeli gov't had already promised a pull-out to the Palestinians.

The murdered girl was the daughter of settlers, and the events during these years show the point where the author decides to vote the notorious Ariel Sharon into power, and why. It's all very interesting.

(By the way, I think the "massive pressure abroad" mentioned in the book quote above is in reference to the fallout from the Mohammed Al-Durrah incident of 2001. I have no doubt that you know about it, but I'll post a link for anyone else who happens to be reading this page).

6 Unrwa schools have been bombed and hundreds of children were killed. Many Hospitals, Mosques, Shops also been attacked, Kids in beaches, and the total killed civilians number is 1390 most of them are kids & women.

Youtube is full of proofs, anyone can see what's happening very clearly, 85% of israelis agreed to continue the war, Israel accused Hamas for the murder of the three israeli teens without a single proof then israel started bombing from Air,Sea and land , It's not allowed to send videos or pictures here, But youtube is full enough of bloody videos, It's like a holywood war movie.

The crazy thing is that the U.S started sending ammo/weapons today to Israel !!

Well, the title of this thread might be about the 3 teens who were killed, but revenge would be a ridiculous reason for Israel to start a war that is only going to hurt its already terrible PR.

If the goal were avenging the teens, I assume Israel would bomb Gaza safely from the sky, as it is doing, but without a ground incursion which is costing Israeli lives. If Israel is willing to risk the lives of its soldiers (and now that many are dead, I can say willing to sacrifice the lives of its soldiers), there must be a more logical reason than revenge for three murdered teens. Especially when crazy settlers already burned a poor Palestinian kid to death as their own revenge.

The reason for the ground incursion is that you can't stop the Palestinian rockets nor destroy the tunnels safely from the skies. It requires a ground operation. If I lived in Israel, I would support the ground operation. If I were in charge in the U.S., I would approve of sending Israel all the weapons it needs to get this done.

Speaking of the tunnels: the Palestinians receive billions of dollars in aid from the U.S. and from other nations, and they spend it on terror tunnels? All this time they could have been improving peoples lives and they've been digging tunnels? They must really not care about their own people. If they're going to dig, how about digging a massive underground shelter rather than tunnels that cross the border to Israel? The Israelis build shelters for their people and, in conjunction with air raid sirens, they work. Israel warns the Palestinians when they're going to bomb. Wouldn't it be nice if the PLs could enter a shelter, rather than just Hamas combatants running into their tunnels?

Yes, there is a lot of blood on youtube, and in reputable news sources. There is no shortage of photos and videos.

I just read an article called, "In Gaza, 11 members of a Palestinian family are killed in a single strike". (Link below). Buried in the text is this:
They had been warned by the Israeli military to leave their section of Jabalya because of an impending offensive against Hamas militants. There was another reason: Their roof was not made of concrete, so they worried a shell or rocket could pierce it, relatives said
I think the headline should have read, "Yet Another Palestinian Family Ignores Israeli Warnings and Stays Home"
http://www.washingtonpost.com/world...-7f2f110c6265_story.html?tid=trending_strip_1

It's easy to look at the blood, rubble and tears and to jump the conclusion who the bad guys are here. It takes an extra step to think about the causes behind all this and sadly, too much of the world can't be bothered to take this extra step.

Billions ?
When did the U.S send money to Hamas ?
And where did the money that the U.S sent to Abbas in West Bank go ? Anything improved there ?

Where can you build shelters for 2 million person in Gaza ? Gaza strip is small and desert ground, you can't build shelters in a desert unless you have resources and space like Saudi Arabia.
The Palestinians rarely get cement, and some food, Haven't you heard about Gaza blockade ?

The Israelis build shelters for their people and, in conjunction with air raid sirens, they work. Israel warns the Palestinians when they're going to bomb. Wouldn't it be nice if the PLs could enter a shelter, rather than just Hamas combatants running into their tunnels?
Again, Where can Palestinians in Gaza run to? Where can they dig and build shelters ?
Why does israel bomb houses ? Warn palestinians "we are going to bomb your house" is it not a crime to bomb people houses that they spent their entire lives to build them?
Can i get answers please ?

The Israeli aircraft is bombing Houses, Streets, Beaches, Hospitals, Schools, Mosques, Unrwa shelters, Unrwa school, UN buildings, Gaza borders and Gaza center. Where would people run to ?

The cause behind all this is the creation of israel, the israeli arrogance, israel has broke all International treaties, It's above the law and no one can say No to israel, The U.S unlimited support and Vito, etc etc.

alecgraham, You claimed to be non-religious person but all your posts say the opposite, i did not see you blame israel at all, all you do is giving reasons to justify israel's wars and crimes, You adopt the israeli government thoughts and decitions, i did not get a rational answer yet, i'm very disapointed to read the same speech that the israeli governers/generals say over and over.
i can't continue discussing this, i'm leaving it to others to judge what they see.

Cheers

Well, I figured we couldn't last for ever, but for two guys with very different viewpoints, I think we lasted pretty long.
I assure you that I am not relgious. If my words remind you of the words of the government, it's because I'm drawing the same conclusions from the same information. If I conclude that 2 + 2 = 4, that doesn't mean I'm a mouthpiece for some mathematical society.

International aid to Palestinians - Wikipedia

And where did the money that the U.S sent to Abbas in West Bank go ?
I'd like to know, too.

The Palestinians rarely get cement
All the more reason not to use it on tunnels. The largest of those terror tunnels are lined with cement.

Also, they don't seem to have any trouble getting guns and other weapons in spite of a blockade.

Again, Where can Palestinians in Gaza run to? Where can they dig and build shelters ?
Why does israel bomb houses ? Warn palestinians "we are going to bomb your house" is it not a crime to bomb people houses that they spent their entire lives to build them?

They haven't even built one shelter. I would start where the tunnels are being built. There are places in the south to which they can evacuate. I know it's hell, and if I were them I would hate the Israelis, too. But, I would hate Hamas first.

As for bombing houses, it's a tragedy, but if that's where the rockets are coming from...
I don't think I could stop a terrorist from firing rockets from near my home, but if I got a warning about a bombing, I'd be gone in a heartbeat.

UNWRA has been apologizing for missiles found in UN schools. They are the worst. Maybe Europeans feel like they are paying penance for the Crusades by blaming Israel, but they are doing nothing to stop this conflict. And, as Lozowick wrote, the Palestinians ultimately need to make peace with Israel, not the UN.

The cause behind all this is the creation of israel
You have said it all, right there. The Middle East agrees with you. This is why the conflict will never end, whether Israel pulls out of Gaza (again) and other territories or not. Whether there is a blockade or not. Israel was created? That's going to be a problem.

P.S. This is why it is unlucky to be a Palestinian civilian in this world:

This is unprecedented in the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict," says CNN's Ali Younes, an analyst who has covered the region for decades. "Most Arab states are actively supporting Israel against the Palestinians -- and not even shy about it or doing it discreetly."
It's a "joint Arab-Israeli war consisting of Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia against other Arabs -- the Palestinians as represented by Hamas."
