Yesterday's events were beyond belief and painful to watch; as were most of the past four years of a presidential farce. However, I do believe that despite all the broken porcelain, the new administration will be able to restore America's reputation abroad. From what I read, America's (former) allies are willing and ready to resume collaboration with an administration based on friendship, mutual respect, reason, and predictability.
I think the real challenge for America will lie in curbing those conspiratorialists living in parallel realities and in "depolarising" and reuniting the nation.
