What are the drug laws in Japan? They seem like they're really strict, but there's a "drug den" in Yokohama run by the Yakuza that sells almost every drug you can imagine (except pot, oddly enough). Don't ask how I know.

I'm too tired to go looking for it, but there was an interesting article in the Mainnichi about Yaukuza not too long ago. Apparently, they needed new recruits, so a faction of the yamaguchi-gumi posted a "help wanted" ad in a newspaper.




Someone who went for an interview ended up reporting it to the police.

Drug laws? Pretty strict, from what I know. The JET programme does a good job of telling horror stories. According to their sources, a JET who recieved some weed in the mail and got sent to prison.
