is there a way to download Japanese fonts to my computer(windows xp) so if i want to type i don't need to switch the languages for everything.

Now for your next trick mike; Is to find a downloadable Japanese language pack for XP, that doesn't require authentication.... Unless you have that file handy....

Look on Microsoft's website. Search for "Japanese Language Pack". It will say it's for Office, but it's actually for all of XP.

I have to mount some sort of cushion on the wall next to my computer. Sheetrock is not a suitable material against which to bang one's head.

good point,but if he really just has to have them,why doesn't he look at the obvious answer,"how to type in japanese"....I mean do people not understand the point of a sticky?

to practice hiragana and make lists and flash cards mainly. Digital is usefull in many ways analog is not.
