JAP IS BACK.
That is a racial slur. He most certainly didn't say that.
You may not understand this as some so called foreigner living in Okinawa.
This is literally one of the dumbest things I've ever seen on the Internet.

You make up too much stuff, and are a CCP shill. I can't waste any more of my day trying to be reasonable with you.

Sorry, 'so called' CCP shill 🙂

I even searched and quoted for you from wiki, which is mostly edited by westners and believed by them. Then you still say I made it up.
You call me CCP from all of the begnining, although I try to explain things standing at a third party positon. I said NK will attact SK and I didnot say N or Skorean is right or wrong. You just reply me with your biased view time and time again. Nothing you can prove and show with evidence. Everytime you try to prove things just make a promise with your personal honor. Say sth like you are in Japan or you are a guy from somewhere. You can tell nothing. And I do not even care this at all. How much does your honor cost?
Finally, again, you became a guy with dirty talk, "dumpest", remember what you said, just like some other ignorant people.I think it's just because you feel angry. And I forgive it, because you cannot blame ppl for their ignorent, right?
Please, donot reply me again. Thank you.

It's dumbest, not dumpest, but I think there is a strong case that you're a dumpest poster too.

Just wanted to say that more than 5 countries have nuclear weapons.

In the asian region you have - China, Russia, India, Pakistan, DPRK and sudo-Japan

China and Russia are full nuclear powers.
India and Pakistan have static capabilities
DPRK has a few units
Japan is considered a sudo nuclear power, because they have the technology to build one. Including many reactors that can be switched over to fast breeder reactors with the press of a button - Japan could have several nukes ready in 3-12 months.

Fully agree with this. But nuclear weapon cannot be a toy for those not so grown-up countries. It is bad for every political power want to own it for the moment.

Still thanks for your correction. I haven't paid too much attention to words like these"dumbest" stuff. You are very good at it. Nazy and violence always come together.

But I have to say it for a final time. I appreciate discussions, even from sb with a different belief. And the more fierce a discussion is the better. But when you curse, I will just ignore it. Because my family education doesnot allow me to talk back with dirty words. I forgive your rude, and I will just consider it is the problem of your growth environment. byebye.

Are you calling me a Nazi? I don't know. Your family education may not allow dirty words, but probably you're better at this sort of thing in Chinese. In English, saying something is dumb is a very weak thing (note that I didn't call you dumb, merely that you wrote something incredibly dumb, whether you understood that or not. But, implying someone is a Nazi is incredibly rude and offensive. Not as bad as using the racial slur "Jap" as you did before, but still incredibly rude. And then insulting my family upon that... You have no manners. Feel free to ignore my posts, but if you post any other blatant misinformation, I may be forced to correct you again (like, when you claim that Ryukyu was Japanese from the 1800's, when they claimed authority over the island's in the 1600's, or that you bring up a claim on the Ryukyu islands by Taiwan, which is impossible, since you as a CCP mouthpiece must deny the existence of Taiwan as a country)...

Anyway, long story short, I don't think most South Koreans want the U.S. bases out. If they did, it would become a popular political movement, and people would capitalize on it. In Okinawa , there are people who want the bases out, and it has become a (small) political movement.

I cited it from Wikipedia for you. You still say i make it up. President Roosevelt once had a serious discussion with Taiwan former president Chiang Kaishek about Ryukyu problem(Okinawa) at the end of WWII. I should remind you Japan is the only one getting benefit of WWII as a Nazy country for the reason of Ryukyu islands and Senkaku islands. Chinese donot want Ryukyu back, but at least it should be an independent country or give it back to Taiwan.
I am tired of educating you everytime with history knowledge, while you just keep repeating that "China is bad and threat", or "You are a CCP and you made things up" stuff.

A final history evidence I showed to you. If you would just still say I make it up. There is no need of further disscusion, because your view about world and history is really weird.

I think "quasi nuclear power" fits Japan better than "pseudo nuclear power" anyway.

you're probably rite - but i've been watching a fair amount of Breaking Bad lately (it's brilliant if you have not seen it) - So in my mind Japan in terms of nukes is running a sudo-cook

So what? America occupied the Ryukyu islands for decades before giving them back to Japan! America doesn't decide who owns what, but in this case, they sided with Japan. Do the Ryukyu people want to be independent of Japan? No. They speak Japanese, they use Japanese money, they are part of Japan. They don't consider themselves ethnically Japanese, but they are not seeking independence whatsoever. Of course, you are writing what you write from China with zero personal experience there, so your ignorance is not surprising.

I never said China is bad or a threat, you made that up.
or "You are a CCP and you made things up" stuff.
I wonder why... Maybe because you keep making stuff up like the nonsensical claim above. I think the Chinese government has problems, and is bullying its neighbors, but that is very different from calling them a threat, much less bad. I have Chinese friends, and I love Chinese history and Chinese culture. I want to see a strong, healthy, friendly China. I love China, just not the CCP. They are separate.

I know Japan took Taiwan, Korea, and Manchuria... it is irrelevant to everything you're writing here, but you want to say it because... I don't know. All the people who did that are dead. But, some nationalist Asians think it's an important fact. Anyway, Japan took Okinawa in the 1600's. From the Wiki page YOU LINKED TO BUT DIDN'T ACTUALLY READ:
The Tokugawa shogunate that emerged following Hideyoshi's fall authorized the Shimazu familyツ―feudal lords of the Satsuma domain (present-day Kagoshima prefecture)ツ―to send an expeditionary force to conquer the Ryukyus. The subsequent invasion took place in 1609.[6] Occupation occurred fairly quickly, with a minimum of armed resistance, and King Shō Nei was taken as prisoner to the Satsuma domain and later to Edo (modern day Tokyo).
Japan couldn't easily rule over the islands at this point, because they didn't have steam ships, but Japan considered the islands theirs from this point on. Possibly you could say that we both are right; from differing perspectives, maybe we're both right. Can you concede that I'm not ignorant about the history here?

Admit it, you are just some Japanese or their relatives. Talking to you is just like talking to a guy defending himself by sophistry. Meaningless. No, I have nothing more to say.

Ah, so you don't concede that I know something about Japan? Well, if you have nothing more to say, that's not a bad thing. When the person you debate with decides to call you a Nazi, they really don't have anything to say. Best of luck in the future making things up!

I just wrote the truth by replying to you. So I didnot need you agree it or not. I donot even use my Chinese knowlege to teach you, because you can only say the word "make up". So I just say things, I can find on Wikipedia, to you.
When I said you are a Japanese, I mean you insist on supporting their side without caring about the truth. And you still know nothing about their deep level things. Everyone would try to read topics between you and me can see this.
By the way, when I say Japan invaded Ryukyu kindom in1860 some, you said "no, Japan had Ryukyu for hundreds of yrs". I can tell you that's because Japanese invaded Ryukyu for many times. The first time they attacted Ryukyu, meanwhile they invaded Korea, and robbed from South China at about those yrs.
Search the word Nazy yourself, and look at Japanese's view about nuclear power, how strong should treat weaks and their history behavior for 2000 yrs. Every yr, most of JP's leaders visit to ancient shrines honoring war heroes, with 10s of thousands of WII war crimes among them ,like the famous 2creepy soldiers competing for killing over 100 citizens including children. Evidence here:Contest to kill 100 people using a sword - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

their history behavior for 2000 yrs.
Look at their behavior for the last 70 years. That's what counts, and that's the world we live in today. If you insist on perpetually living in the past, there will never be any peace or happiness in the world...

And that goes for China too. Post-WWII China has a much worse history than post WWII Japan. We can think of China as a country that brutally took Tibet in the 50's, and killed millions of its own people in the Great Leap Forward, or we can look at China as it is today, a country with problems, but <not> terribly mistreating its people. I look at China as it is today, since I am not hung up on the past.

Japan has some black parts in its history. That's not who it is today. And stop bringing up Nazis. It's really inappropriate.

Anyway, if whatever you write next has nothing to do with Korea, I will ignore it.

The US presence and pledge to defend South Korea is what prevents the South from escalating military spending and having the need to become a nuclear power. We seen this happen in the past with India and Pakistan. A nuclear South Korea would mean an enormous power shift in the region, one which China would not stand for.

The part I want to point out is the part about the "need to become a nuclear power". Pakistan may have developed nukes in response to India's development. And yes, S.K. might develop nukes in response to N.K.'s "supposed" development (I remain in doubt). But I think it important to go back to the beginning. S.K. is supposedly protected by American nukes. Thus, N.K.'s "supposed" nukes can surely be said to be in response to America's.

Remove the American nuclear umbrella and we might be able to convince N.K. to forget about nukes or they might do so on their own. Nuking S.K. would be of no benefit to them. Surely the Norks would prefer to beef up their conventional forces.

In short, and I have pointed this out many times, its the American threat driving a lot of negative outcomes in the region, from N.K. nukes to very belated Chinese development of aircraft carriers. America needs to get out of everyone's faces. And by that I do not necessarily mean that America needs to pack up and leave. I mean America can maintain a presence without conducting spy flights on borders, dispatching stealth bombers, having nuclear armed subs in the area, or conducting joint military drills just off hostile borders.

Are you seriously suggesting we should pay attention to all from 1950 on, but forget about the 1940s and 30s???????

Tibet was also a LOOOOONNNGGG time ago. 63 years. And its not jack diddley squat compared to Machuokuo. the Occupation of Korea, or the Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere.

Yeah, we don't need to go 2000 years back, but China is hardly what it was in 1950 either. And putting down secessionists is common everywhere and its no use acting like China is uniquely dirty for doing it.

China is hardly on the path to global conquest. China hardly moves. Its America that is all over the fricken world like white on rice!!

But the more people scream that China is bucking to be the next great empire, the more likely it is to become true. You treat someone like a rat, the more likely they will start acting like one since they can never get a break. China had no aircraft carries until they bought an old rustbucket off the Russians. Only now are they starting to develop their own.

In short, I am incredulous that you still want to bring up the invasion and occupation of Tibet, but want to forget about Japan's rampage through Asia that preceded the 20 year period before, then declare that China's modern history is "way worse". Its worse, yes, but "way worse"? Complete exaggeration!

Chill out and put your rage-on away. I made a typo when writing and missed the <not>, but the intent of the paragraph is the same: whatever China did in the 50's, it's not something I judge the China of 2013 about.

And way worse? Killing millions of its own people is worse than having a tech revolution. China has a "way worse" history since WWII. Jesus.

Zorro is incredulous? What took you so long, it's already 9 am. I expected you to be incredulous 10 times already today.

Not sure why you are still in doubt regarding the nuclear weaponry development of North Korea. Haven't they already went out of the way to make sure we all know they not only have the development going on but that they also already have working technology?

You seem to assume, for whatever reason, the notion that the North Korea and China would stop their militarization is the US wasn't around the region. From where do you get this notion?

China has a "way worse" history since WWII.

The choice of the end of WWII as a cut off point for judgement is nothing but bias.

Further, the internal topic of the Cultural Revolution hardly counts to this discussion which is about foreign policy.

Even if I did include the Cultural Revolution, I would say the Japanese and Chinese are fairly equal in horrible modern history, with the Japanese worse early, the Chinese worse in the middle, and the Chinese slightly worse the closer we get to today. And both ought to be ashamed.

What is the proof? Don't tell me its the same source who recently said the Norks could miniaturize a nuke and put in on a missile before several groups came out and debunked it? Or are we taking the word of the Norks on this?

You seem to assume, for whatever reason, the notion that the North Korea and China would stop their militarization is the US wasn't around the region. From where do you get this notion?

Mostly I was talking about nuclearization.

But even conventional militarization-wise, the Norks are pretty maxed out already, but they could sure use some more small arms and FOOD for their army. And the Chinese would be aiming for the status quo and pure defense, which would mean upgrades, but I doubt they would have bothered with aircraft carriers if not for the Americans in Asia from half way around the world in their faces.

Trouble is, some people would harp on China's upgrades and call that proof of expansionism, just as they have for decades, but its bull.

Especially for China, their internal focus is clear as day and backed up by decades of history. Everything they claim has some sort of historical foundation even if its weak.

The Norks are a harder call, and not just for being nuts, but also for being in a perpetual state of technical war with many enemies around but no real friends.

What is the official cut-off point? 1940? 1900? I'm trying to point out how dumb going on about history is. Japan invaded Manchuria, therefore, WHAT? dsvlee is obsessed with the past and in denial of the present.

Since I'm not denying Japan's history, and I'm not denying China's history, it is not BIAS, it is a form of rhetoric to prove a point. Get over it. This is really you looking for something that isn't there at all.
