Iron Chef Better Be Here!

Greetings from the 8th level of Hell, also known as Davenport, Iowa, USA.

I'm Seelie, aka Rik, and was referred some time ago by Iron Chef, a good friend, and one of your moderators. My reasons for dropping in are:

1) Track down that elusive bastage that I believe has left the U.S. to pursue a life in the Pacific Rim, and I can't say I blame him, but there are some ties that should remain bound. Get in touch, J!

2) Begin learning about a culture that has always left me mystified and yearning for knowledge, so that I might know my way around and be able to converse when the opportunity arises for me to visit Japan.

3) Make a new friend or two, or twenty, who knows?

4) See what happens in the motorcycle industry on the other side of the world, especially the chopper lifestyle. The Horse Magazine periodically fills us Americans in on this, but I want to know a whole lot more.

Anyways, well met, and I look forward to traversing your fora to see what there is to learn here.

Well, I managed to track down my elusive prey, and we're doing a little bit of correspondence when he has the opportunity. Yeah, it sounds like the boy is swamped. Thanks to all that welcomed me in! Now then, seems like the first order of business would be the Japanese Language. I see the forums for this subject, but they don't seem very user friendly; either that or I'm a ***** (which isn't entirely unlikely.)

Any suggestions as to a good starting point?
