As nice gaijin said, you can't use "ai" to say "I love the store" in the sense that it's your favorite.ai suru no imi ha "to love" to omoimashita.
あい する の いみ は "to love" と おもいました。
would it be incorrect to say the following:
sono mise wo ai shiteiru
その みせ を あい している
and how about.....
sono mise ga ichiban suki desu.
その みせ が いちばん すき です。
Yes, this is correct because you used the emphatic form of "suki" (i.e., "daisuki").watashi wa mise ga daisuki desu.
わたしはみせがだいすきです。
-Tommy
Do you mean this?
Yes, this is correct because you used the emphatic form of "suki" (i.e., "daisuki").
However, you didn't specify "which" store. Your sentence is correct only when both speaker and listener know implicitly "which store" is being discussed.
If it is not known, you have to specify the store with "sono, kono, ano, asokono," and others.
The sentence "この/あの店は好きです(Kono/Ano mise wa sukidesu)" often connotes that "他の店は嫌いだけど(hoka no mise wa kiraida kedo; I don't like the other stores though)".I love this store: Kono mise *wa/ga suki desu
I love that store: Ano mise *wa/ga suki desu
Yasashii desho?
(Simple right?)
*The use of wa or ga depends on if there are many stores like that one or if there is only one right?
