Everything is getting more and more expensive, so I thought it might be interesting to compare prices from different countries together.

From a pack of milk, to the latest Coldplay album, and from a pack of sliced cheese to a pack of diapers (yes, I'm a dad). So yeah, please post what every you want.

Japan, Kobe
Mini-coop:
1.5 liter Coca Cola 1.89 Yen
10 slices of cheese 2.34 yen
pack of milk 1.79 yen

Nishimatsuya (baby shop)
Pack of 80 diapers size S (merries) 1390 yen

K's Denky's
Macbook 123.000 yen
JVC Everio MG330 camcorder 50.000 yen

More to come.

1.25 litre Coca-Cola £1.45 (306.53 Yen)
Pint of milk £0.60 (141.93 Yen)
Britney Spears Greatest Hits: My Prerogative £7.99 (1,642.11 Yen)
Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix £15.95 (3,277.44 Yen)

That are some nice prices thanks guys. How expensive a bottle of Cola is in Manchester...

Vending Machine
Can of coca Cola 120 yen
Bottle of Coca Cola 150 yen

Sigarets are inexpensive in Japan 320yen... Which isn't a good thing in my opinion. Back in the Netherlands they cost 3.90 (about 600 yen)

Cigarettes are from $4.10 a pack for pall mall or some generic brands and up to $5.50 for name brands like Marlboro! I think the prices are different depending on what state you live in as well. I was told, so this may not be true, that cigarettes in New York were close to $10.00 a pack....

How much is having a windshield changed for an average car?

Here it's about 250 - 400 €

Some tourist's kid threw a stone to my windshield.. :auch:

Cans of soda (12 oz) are about $0.75 here in the Seattle area, and bottles (20 oz) usually $1.25. At current exchange rates, that works out to 82 and 137 en, respectively. A Red Bull costs $2.17 with tax (~240 en). About the same as in Tokyo, where I know they are 275 en.

A pack of Marlboro cigarettes, where I live, is about $3.82. Or you can get them at the local pharmacy for $3.14. This is tobacco country after all.

Milk is ridiculous. It is about $4.39 per gallon. A pack of 24 slices of cheese is about $4. A small pack of Pampers brand diapers is a little over $10.

The thing that really boils my blood is, of course, gasoline. The cheapest around here is $3.35 right now. I'm thankful for my Civic!

Well, we don't smoke, and we don't drink Pepsi or Coca-Cola, so we don't pay any attention to hose prices. :)

However, we do drink milk. One gallon is 3.8 liters. The lowest price we see is $2.50 per gallon or 274 Yen. That is a sale price. A common price when milk is not on sale is $3.19 or 349 Yen.
