Hi.

A little about me.

I am a canadian citizen, engaged to a japanese national. We went to the same high school together and graduated. She used to be my girlfriend, and after being separated for many years, we are now back together, engaged, and due to be married in Fall of 2014.

I have been to Japan twice. However, she sometimes is mad with me. I have given her the impression that I do not care enough---or not care that much---about Japan, and what Japan has to offer.

This is not true of me! Or at least I feel that way. Then again, I am like a typical canadian, ignorant about what the best japanese musicians are, japanese history(before World War II), information about a lot of buisness-related japanese things (other than what relates to japanese things in Canada) and what is going on with japanese companies at the moment, and so on. It really got me motivated to learn more about Japan! Not to impress her, but out of love.

And I should learn more.


I feel....thankful...that I am able to come to this website, possibly ask questions, and lurk, as I learn about Japan and discover many things. I hope you can all help me learn about Japan so that I can come across as an individual who cares very much about Japan.

Hi there! welcome to Jref, There are lots of kind people here that will hear your questions about Japan. They'd pretty sure will answer you even if it seems that you're question might be non-sense. I'm not saying you're non-sense though, what I mean is, just in case, they will still appreciate your question. Why? I did have a couple back then when I was new, and they still tried to help me given my non-sense stuffs, So it's more like telling you that people here a kind enough to watch over your inquiries or questions.
