NO !! Pull your pants up, not THAT equipment!! I ment your photography equipment. What do you use to take pictures and what software to work on them? I know we have a lot of Forum members who love to take pictures as evidenced by the Gallery. Most of us share our photos of Japan and everything else under the sun. How bout you? What do you use?
I started out with an old 1950's box camera and hundreds of cameras later am now using an Olympus Camedia C-720. I still hold on to my Canon AE-1 Program and a zillion assessories that go with it, but I'm slowly weaning off film; love digital! I use simple Photoshop that came free with something. It does everything I want to try and more that scares me.
SO, let's hear it, what do you use????

Frank

😊

Currently, I use a Sony DSC-V1 5MP digital camera. I plan on purchasing a Canon 20D sometime next year though (thats if college bills let me :().

I use Adobe Photoshop 7 and Adobe Photoshop CS for the photo editting.

Also, great equipment Frank! Film cameras are great, but my affairs with the digital cameras has made me leave my first wife (the film camera) and marry a digital!

Im using a Kodak cx 7300 :p ,really cheap camera.Anybody here go that low.Tell then adieu

Had a $50 Kodak Advantix since the first year those were released; got a digicam finally last July from Brian for our anniversary (three continuous years on July 25 when he got it for me--five total years next month!!! 😍) It's a FujiFilm A330 3.2 Megapixel--we were supposed to get the A340 but the store was sold out--and I love it. I still only have the 16mb card that came with it, though. Haven't had a chance to get a better one. :( That's the only thing I told him I want for Christmas, so unless he's got some grand, sparkly plans for something else that's what I'm going to get.

For editing, I use either the editor that came with the camera or Photoshop CS, depending on what I'm doing (ie, resizing and redeye right when I'm copying to my comp is with FujiFilm FinePix, the rest with PS).

Well, I use a Canon PowerShot A60 2.0 megapixel digital camera which I bought from Ritz Camera in early 2003 for $199.00. Since most of my pics go online, I don't need anything higher than that.

My flatbed scanner is a HP scanjet 3970 ($99.99 from Staples) which I pair with Photoshop Elements ($99.99 from the Apple Store) for all my scanning and photo editing and touch-up work. Oh, yeah! And at the center of it all is my beloved Apple 1GhZ eMac!

👍

I use a 2 megapixel Kodak camera. I don't know the details though.

Update: I've now got a 256mb xD card. So now, instead of 10 pics at the highest setting, I get something like 150.

Digital SLR's cameras like the Canon Digital Rebel are slowly coming down in price since they first came out. These days, I've seen the Digital Rebel in stores like Ritz Camera and Best Buy for around $899.99, and that's WITH a lens. And I'm sure it can be found for cheaper online.

Still, that's a bit too much camera for my meager needs since I'm not a photography nut, plus I love the portability of my Canon point and shoot (PowerShot A60). It'd be kinda like buying a Mercedes-Benz to drive to the corner grocery store. How many of you out there are jonesing for a digital SLR?

Count me in! I bought my Ixus for it's portability. It fits in every pocket and it is the camera to own if you always want to carry a camera with you. But it also has it's shortcomings and that why i want an SLR alongside of it. Just for the more outstanding pictures. Plus, an SLR doesn't make you look too much like a tourist. :D

Hmm! I don't know about that! I could be on the streets of Tokyo with a top of the line Nikon and STILL look like a rube fresh from Hickville!

:D
