Help with Japanese transcription

Yes, I think the 'Geek corner' is the best place to post this. lol I need some help with this youtube fragment that I've been really curious about during many time. (just search for the following code in Youtube or even Google since I can't post the URL >_< . Too few messages in so much time I guess. lol The video is called 'Examen de història'):


This link is about a prime-time comedy show that has a section about small fragments of other TV shows when there's people speaking other languages. What they do to make it funny is to add distorted subtitles in our local language so it seems they are saying funny things instead of their original speech, and since no one (or a few) people watching the TV show know the language, well, you can figure out.

At 0:23 starts the scene. There are three Japanese people and two Spaniards I presume. Although I don't know the language I'm interested to Japanese culture so I can identify the language, but I can't understand what the guy singing says. Apart from the guy having a pretty loud and attractive voice, I've always been asking myself if that song was traditional Japanese, invented at the moment for the occasion, etc, and specially the meaning.

So this should be pretty easy for anybody with a minimal knowledge of Japanese, if you could transcribe it even in Japanese would be pretty useful.

It sounds like Chinese to me. It is NOT Japanese for sure.

Really? Oh my, I knew I should have studied Japanese three years ago instead of Portuguese, that would have avoided such a shame! lol It really sounded Japanese to me, and I'm not the kind of Western that uses to confound all the diverse Asian people with 'Chinese' and so... a bad day for sure. Then I apologize for it.
