Thanks for the reply and the compliment !!😊 😌 arigatou gozaimashita !!

I hope not to disappoint you in any way, yet, I must say that I am not a Japanese national, but rather have moved here from the USA. If you were to click on to my user name, and check out my profile, I think you'd learn more about me. Sorry... BUT...I must say that your Enlgish is very good !! I am pleased with that !!

I teach at Matsumoto University here in Matsumoto, Japan. I teach oral communication (which basically is conversational English divided into several areas of usage that Japanese students may encounter English)

Please do check out my profile and you may notice that as a hobby, so to speak I do do a little research in a number of science and religious belief-system areas.

I look forward to talking with you again ryu1919 san !! Thank you !! 🙂

Welcome to the forums ryu, I hope you enjoy it. 🙂

I think most of the people that participate on the forum with the japanese residence flag are in fact foreigners who are living there, mainly from the US.

everyone!!arigatou for the WELCOME

hi

i'm bk again after so long

been very busy the past 2 weeks wit my lab xperimen and analyzing my result

just manage2squeeze sme time from my schedule now to reply2 u all

i'm very HAPI so many ppl supported n encourage me for studying masters in Jpn. dun wory. i'm applying2any scho that im eligible in msia so i can go Jpn

actually, i do hv sme BAD n sme GUD news2share wit u all

bad news: (stil sad n a bit angry thinking bout it) my monbusho scho application is rejected even w/o a chance for sitting the eng n jpnese test
reason? a very unfair one in my opinion , embassy lady told me my undergrad transcript nt certified by prof of uni which i graduated from.so they reject. she say must get prof of the uni u graduate from 2certify4u

unfortunately4me, i ask another uni prof2certify 4me since im working there n much easier 4me2get the certification. well, am i a victim o nt?
in msia, v usually ask any qualified prof from any uni 2certify our certs
apparently, its nt the case in jpn. how am i supposed2know this rule wen they nvr state clearly in the appli form?its first time im applying

well, no point crying over it now. dun know im plain unlucky o just a victim of technicalities?

gud news: im shortlisted as among the top 40 semifinalist for panasonic scho which is basically for masters study in jpn. hv2submit 20 page proposal by nxt wed together wit a HUGE bunch of other documents

im keeping my fingers crossed. just hope im a bit more luckier tis time wit this scho. hv2enter the top12 finalist b4 given a chance 4interview

only 3 ppl r awarded scho every yr
i'm competing mostly wit engineering n IT grads. HEHE
dun know if im strong enough2fight them all

i actually hv a prof oredi in Hokudai willing2accept me as research stu n later masters.
he even ask me 2continue till phd
imagine! im nt even in jpn yet. he oredi plan 4me
he actually ask me2go 2jpn ASAP n even offer2employ me as his RA (helps2pay 4accommod n food). tuition fee hv2pay myself

bt, i ask him2let me try4scho 1st
if cant get, i tink most likely i'll go2Jpn first for my first yr n self sponsor b4 trying2get a scho from within Jpn

any one able 2 tell me bout the tuition fees n living cost in Hokudai for research student n masters?
cant seem2get the info fr the uni website

any info for scho dat i can apply from within Jpn beside rotary yoneyama?

im nt a BAD student actually, i got first class for my undergrad with CGPA above 3.9 wit 2 yrs research xperience in lab
so, reali appreciate help from any member bout scho info or anything else i can try in jpn (cant rely on 1 scho alone, later vy dissappointed if cant get)

arigatou gozaimasu for help from u all

p/s: for lyst-kun, i'm in KL now. house ampang, working in Uni Malaya in PJ
wat bout u? r u a foreigner o a malaysian? y r u living temporarily in MSIA?

ryu, I'm sorry to hear about monbusho. But good luck with panasonic, it seems hard but you would never know. :-)

ps: Please don't abreviate the words that much, my eyes really hurted. Literaly. :(

ryu >> Oh its kinda sad to hear about that. Me? I have both citizenship though. Well study in Malaysia is not a bad idea though.

thank god for a golden opportunity!

hi everyone!!

gomen nasai

no reply by me for so long!!:sorry:

i got some small gud news to share with my new frens in this forum

i managed to "squeeze" myself into the final interview round of panasonic scholarship in my home country, msia

for those unfamiliar with this scholarship, it's a 3 yr full masters scho to study any field beside medicine, pharmacology and dentistry in jpn grad school

interview is tomorrow and final result also released tomorrow
(only 10 people in the finals, originally 12 but 2 withdrew at last min)

honestly, i'm very thankful first to god for giving me an interview opportunity
and also to all my seniors in my lab and frens who supported me all the way

I'm honored to be among the top12 in this scho
no matter wat happens tomorrow, I decided that I will just go in to the interview room wit my heads held high and give the best interview performance of my life

let god decides the rest

so, i wish that i can have the best wishes from all of u for the most important battle tomorrow

i'm nervous but I've been through so many rounds of application and I will not give up on my dreams of studying in jpn now

I will gambarimashoo:-)

till next time

p/s : ororo munroe, wat about ur fren? she got the gud news too? maybe we will meet each other tomorrow. wat's her name? maybe we can become fren, if she dun mind.
