my name is roy. i was born and raised in north carolina, although both my parents are japanese. how that happened is a convoluted demonstration of american politics...but at any rate, i do still have family in japan. i currently reside in pennsylvania.
i'm delighted to have stumbled across this forum. i feel i'll learn much from others posting here. i'm looking forward to meeting all i can. i would say something quaintly japanese, but that's one of the oddities of my generation. the emphasis was placed on speaking english...maybe that was more for my mother's benefit. but of all my friends who were also japanese americans, no one knew how to speak japanese.
i do know how to eat japanese, though!
