Stay on topic please before this spirals into one of "those" threads with people bickering back and forth for no good reason. Here's a novel idea... Some of you like Gackt, some of you don't. I agree. Yeah people shouldn't take everything he says all too seriosuly. Why else would everyone around him be laughing and grinning?

From another view... if he didn't want people to make fun of him, he shouldn't have made it so easy. Anyone who knows about him, isn't thickheaded, and has a sense of humour would jump at the chance.

I'd be afraid if there were Gackt barbie dolls; rabid fangirls would probably take off his clothes first thing and... do stuff with it. *vomits*

Anyway, here is my list of Gackt songs/videos etc. So before you start thinking we make fun of him because ~all~ of us dislike him, assume that we aren't. I for one am not a one who denies that their favorite j-rocker/s aren't perfect.

Hey! Zombiepanda. I'm just gonna make one thing clear... Gackt does NOT look like MJ. This is why: Gackt is PRETTY and MJ is UGLY and sleeps with children. Gackt would never do such a thing. I wish I could shoot MJ in his head, he make me wanna puke!

I'm sure Gacktard was coined a few days ago. That is such a fun word to use. I did hear that they were starting an anti-Gacktard club on LJ. I just wasn't sure when. I saw an awesome rant when I learned the word. I recommend many ppl go to it.

It has not been proven that Michael Jackson slept with children. Until I see all the facts, I refuse to believe it.

I also loved that Gacktard-ish remark that was put along with the MJ statement. How do you know that Gackt wouldn't sleep with children?

1) He is an a**hole.
2) He claims he's 400 years old. That is obviously a lie. But if he believes in such a thing, then we would all be considered children to him.

Have you ever thought of that, or have you been so infatuated by his picture that you forgot there's such a thing as reality?

1) In your mind, maybe. But who really cares about your opinion? And who really cares about mine...? No one. Oh well, but you have right to say that. But you know old chap ~ it's not a fact.

2) He's probably saying that because it's easier to say something which everyone knows to be a lie than just remain silent when someone asks your age. Like I give a tiny rat's a** when it comes to his way to speak in public.

He's picture doesn't make us more stupid than we normally are. I think it's just people like you who get to be a bit jealous. No hard feeling, pal! Peace!

And Winter, you're totally right. I haven't met him. Too bad since I would already be able to greet him in Japanese. I'd love to learn to be fluent some day... *sigh* Anyway, I simply only assume that he isn't a jerk. I'd love to believe that he's a good person. (Not perfect, as all of you think I'm saying here...) I don't claim that my statement for him not being an a**hole would be a real fact either. Sorry BlackExodus, but you wrote your message as if you were sure that it's true. Or did I misundertood something? Nevertheless, the true fact can't be known.

Um, but IF he really is stuck-up jerk, then it's a different situation. It would slightly lower his points. Though, this far I haven't heard anything that would make me think like that. Just my wortless thoughts... I apologize!

He's been pumped into the media for his music, his looks, his voice, his attitude (even if you call it 'fake'), and because it does the industry some good. He's popular, but of course not everyone's going to like him.
You know why he appears on those talk shows? Because the produces think it'll be reason for more people to watch.
So what if he chooses to say he's over 400 years old? He obviously doesn't want to give his real age, and what does it matter? Ok, some fangirls may like to know their age gap, but the people here don't seem to be that kind of person.
So what if he's getting older? We are too.
So what if his looks aren't 100% natural? He certainly wouldn't be the only one. And there are many people out there who don't work in the entertainment industry and still choose to manipulate their appearance.
In fact, I bet many of the people you adore in entertainment have had something done too. So much as putting on make-up is 'unnatural'. You know what, he plucks his eyebrows too (or an equivilant). Come to think of it, I don't even think many of the people at my school have just their natural looks...
It's pop culture, he's part of it, if you don't like it, then don't look at it.

Ok enough bashing Gackt.

His voice- AWESOME
His creative music writing style- AWESOME
His nice toned body and beautiful face- AWESOME.

Who cares if he wears make up or has plastic surgury- HELLO....take a look at any English/American magazine, 95% of the models in there are wearing POUNDS of makeup..and plastic surgury-- everyone who can afford it has it now-a-days. And almost every music artist has their pics photoshoped- it's a known fact that Brittney spears airbrushes her photos, and so do all the other pop stars. That's society. Based on looks. Gackt chooses to look "pretty", so let him. He is different and creative, and that's what counts in the end.

I seriously can't believe so many people can feel so strongly about some famous guy who's had some surgery, and fake looks.

Personally, I think Gackt is kinda cool but whatever.
Anybody ever notice is clothes? I like his style.
