Actually tried out the chat room yesterday night at school and i'm impressed....Seeing as i was againts the ideal in the beginning... 
but its aiight.....hey it keeps up with how fast i type...with a little LITTLE catching up. so hey go THOMAS

on a side note, i found this after clicking the banner for phrasebase (?) http://www.phrasebase.com/translations/Japanese

time-consuming. We will also isolate only the files that need to be restored (index files).

If you restore the file yourself, we will not overwrite it with the backup copy, which is few
old. Please also look for other index files under your domain (index.html, index.htm, index.php
and so on) and restore them from your backup if you find that they have been replaced.
To give you an idea of what happened: one of our customers had an isecure PHP script on his site.
This script was a shareware image gallery, distributed under GNU licence. It was not intended to
be malicious, and was there for some time (about 10 months). However, it obviously had a serious
security flaw, since it allowed commands to be executed by simmple connection from browser, and
properly formatted URL. There was no way for us to detect this security problem, as we do not
have the resources to test every script that is uploaded by customers. The customer was also
unaware of the problem with this script. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but it seems that
there are more and more young peple with what seems to be unlimited time on their hands, and
nothing better to do but to try to illegaly gain access to a commercial server.
We would be prosecuting this individual, but it seems that this security incident originated from Brasil
and therefore we probably will not be able to pursue this matter in court. We will call the network
administrator in Brasil tomorrow and try to find out more information regarding the perpetrator.
Thank you for your understanding and if you do use PHP or cgi scripts, please be careful with the
scripts you upload under you domain.

The chat software looks really cool, it would be even cooler if it supported Japanese, though. :/
Well, that was uneventful. I just wandered into the chat room for the first time and all I saw was a big blank screen. Nobody was there. At one point, I think I even saw a tumbleweed roll across the screen. :?
Is there any way to tell if members are in there prior to visiting the chat room, just to avoid wandering into an empty room? Or are there only certain times people chat? :?

These are two threads that are up where people post to get people in there. Next time you go in, and there's no one there, post a message on an above thread, and hopefully people will hop over into the chat room! It all depends on what time you go in - sometimes it's dead, but sometimes you can get up to 10 or 11 in there.

I'm sure of it!! I definitely have an addictive personality anyway, so it's just one more thing for my addictive behavior to focus on, I'm afraid!! At least I'm in good company. Thanks for giving me those links!!! That's how I knew when to go in there!! Yay!!!
