Well not everyone is as wealthy or lives in good economical countries, so I think it is sad that some people can't enjoy this kind of entertainment as we are used to...so I hope things turn out for the better and one day you can.

I just bought a friend's PS2 for 20 dollars... it may not be the latest model, but it still has some fun games... The newest isn't always necessary and you can still get some great entertainment value out of the older system(s).

Try not to focus so much on the material things that you want but can not yet possess... I'd like an xbox 360, but I'm settling for an xbox, again, bought from a friend... It's still alright to want something like this, just don't put any heavy concepts on it... don't let the things you desire rule your life.

Also, imagine how much food a ps3 could provide a relatively medium size family in Indonesia... Do you have food on the table? Count yourself fortunate. Someone out there is thinking to themselves, I'm hungry... I really wish I had some bread.

I've had my PS2 for about 5 years now and it is still the best console if you ask me. There is absolutely nothing that is telling me to invest in a new console (yet). Plenty of fun can be found without dishing out 5 or 6 hundred bucks.

I just bought a friend's PS2 for 20 dollars...

The PS3 packages are finally starting to come down a little in price - just this weekend now around ﾂ≫??00 for a console, two games and two controllers...

I shall wait until just after Xmas for the next (inevitable!) price drops for Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony, and then pick up a Wii, as well as a 360 or PS3

They shall be happy days indeed!!

And as Nice Gaijin said, not much to complain about to be honest. A overly hyped machine with at the moment not too decent games. Wait a year, and you'll have a cheaper one, and maybe by then a revised machine without the flaws. (And good games !!)

Pounds I can figure out... I mean, as long as it doesn't fluctuate too much... It's when they start getting their weight taken at the grocers and the ticket comes back and tells them their weight in stones. What is this, medieval times?

May get a new Wii next year if the price continues to drop and sales figures keep on going up, and the game Im waiting for hits the shops.

And I will pay for it in good old Pounds Sterling, we havent sold out to the E.C.B just yet.

Why don't you give the Wii a shot? The internet service is free (except the Internet channels that costs 5$ since a few months) and the wi-fi connectivity is way better. For now, there aren't a lot of games to play on the net, but the upcoming Mario Kart Wii looks great! Plus, Wii uses intuitive controls, With it's pointing remote, and it's cheapest of the three (PS3, XBox 360 and Wii)

Have faith, a few months ago i dreamed of owning one too and now all i can say is instead of looking at my bathroom mirror in the morning, i look at the shiny black surface of my ps3!!!

so have faith and soon your dreams will become a reality
