Does Japan have Universal Health Care, Private Health Care, or a mixture of Both?

Here in the US Medicare, Medical, ect. are almost all excusevley run by private enterprise. I can't necessarily say it is any more better than the Euro socialist system, I think there should be a balance. That way everyone has basic covered but at the same time less government control for free market compeition for top of the line medical research.

How is it in Asia's developed countries of Japan and South Korea? I heard South Korea has something to the extent of universal and private health system but I'm not sure about Japan. How is health care run in Japan as well as South Korea?

I don't have the time to write extensively on the Japanese health care system. This page sums up the system quite well:
Who provides healthcare in Japan

This forum's Korean members might shed light on the Korean system. 😌

How about education? Does Japan have public education and if so does, is it covered up all the way through college/graduate school?
