Please don't be offended, by my question. You see, by law I'm really a mentally challenged person. I'm used to asking questions that normal people do not ask. I don't mean to be offensive, but if you can answer my question, just think of it as a sympathy case.

Yes, but it's nothing like what you see used in Naruto or anything like that.

What is chakra, for us non-Naruto readers?

Think of it as ki/chi, a spiritual energy that some martial artists use to focus their body and mind to enhance their abilities.

*nods*

If you want to learn about the spiritual energy, look up "Chi" as mostly used in English language.
It is thought of not only in martial arts but in religions, healing and philosophies as well.
I believe originating in China, but certainly not exclusive to that region now.

While some people believe that Chi has a heavy influence over our bodies in many ways, it's certainly not a "weapon" that can be used as you see in Naruto... as neat as that might be, lol.

Cheers!

umm.... but if you mean in a scientifical sence... there's no evidence to prove so... but then there isn't really any evidence to prove not... it's kinda like God in that sence... so it's kinda a belife thing...
but there isn't a streem like they show in Naruto... not a pysical one anyways. but the thing byakugan goes on about... there are actually pressure points on the boydy that if you know where they are and targit them it only takes a very slight hit to several crucial ones to icapasitate your oponent - sometimes even knocking them out with one blow (like the vulcan grip XD)

but if you mean like... being able to foccuse it into a rasengan type attack or a dragonball kamekameha (i think thats right? haven't watched DB for like, 3 years) thingy.... then... no...

although some martialatrists have managed to master attacks that look as though they never touch a person, but they still fall down in agorny afterwords... so... i guess you can make up your own mind about that ^.^

chakra are the various points on the body where energy is stored (crown chakra, heart chakra, etc.) rather than the energy/chi/ki itself...

Chakra - Wikipedia

Im not realy a spiritual person... more of a round 'em up and crush their skulls type... so im not realy prone to getting into hte mumbo jumbo... But by my expereince, the chakras do exist... just there is a lot of crap out htere about them...

Chakras are gateways to conciousness, no else. They have no realy potential to create giant explosive energy balls of doom, tho the thrid eye chakra is most closely tied to psychokineses.

The seven main chakras are related to these planes, or mindsets, of consciousness...
base, red: survival
?naval?, orange: sexuality
solar plexus, yellow: will
heart, green: emotion
throat, blue: Identification and conception of ideas
brow, purple: higher emotional
crown, violet: 'Devine will', but i ratehr call it philosophical drive.

there are more than 7 types of chakra tho. These are just there primary... there are actualy over 100, but i dont particularily care beyond these and the palm chakras.

Personaly, i believe modern spirituality has some skewed ideas.

i think it actually exist and i think there are lots of kind of chakras but this kind of charkra aren't the kind for fighting but like spiritually.

As far as I am concerned: Chakra or Chi or whatever seems to be nothing but superstition.
It does not explain anything, it cannot be tested and it cannot be observed. Why assume something supernatural when the natural suffices?

I respect your question, yet there's a lot of truth in your words.
Respectfully,
Chakra is " for those who believe as myself " and don't necessarily need to be mentally challenged, ( The energy of one's character manifested ) Just like every character of every human being is different, so is Chakra ( The energy from within one's spirit and mind ) manifested. Even tho it is very difficult to prove and to believe, without going to the extremes, Chakra plays a big role in our everyday's life. Not to be confused with religion, Chakra can also be defined as a gift from That, which is greater than our selves. Chakra can not be experienced nor explain in full words by anyone, instead, it shall be experienced individually within one's self. It is then, when we begin to understand that gift that was given to us.

Thank you

Another form of woo. File along with astrology, mediums, tarot and the like.

That would be Chi for us folks.

or Zen for the us folks.

I hope that helps..

Hmmm... I wish that chakra could be used like in Naruto... that would be so awesome 👍 Like I could use a Kage Bunshin to tidy my room for me! Ah well I can dream...

Just because scientists don't know how to test it doesn't mean it ultimately can't be tested, and it also doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Our current level of scientific knowledge is only the tip of the iceberg. Science doesn't know it all, and it might not ever know everything.

Take radio waves for example. How do you suppose scientists from 500 years ago would prove that those exist? They couldn't, because they lacked the technical means and they lacked the knowledge to do so. Even though there was no evidence that radio waves existed back then, they sure did exist.

Now, I'm not saying that the chakras really do exist, because I just don't know. But it's certainly possible that there's a lot more going on than many people are aware off, and also more than science can explain and measure today.
