Creating a Permission Message

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me create a permission message to ask someone.

I want to ask someone if I could get their permission to translate their webcomics, and that they will be credited. Unfortunately, I don't know the verb to "give credit," as in to show that we didn't create the work, but we only translated it.

So far I have:

今日、

はじめまして。私はグレッグと申します。氷菓の英訳のブログをしているです。お願いがありますが。

氷菓シリーズのアメリカ人ファンがコミックが読めるように英訳したいんですがよろしいでしょうかな。もちろん、（We will Credit you)

Although I would rephrase it to:

はじめまして。グレッグと申します。唐突にお便りを差し上げて申し訳ございません。
私は氷菓の英訳をブログにて行っております。実は貴サイトに掲載されております氷菓シリーズのコミックも、英語圏のファンでも読むことができるように英訳をさせていただき、そこに載せたいと考えております。
不躾ながらそのことに関してご許可願いたく、ご連絡させていただきました。どうかご承諾いただけませんでしょうか。もちろん、作者名は明記させていただく所存です。


BTW, how about your previous thread? Did you get the meaning of the sentence?

Keigo was one of the first things I learned but I guess it's one of those things that, if you don't put it into practice you'll forget them.

And yes, you guys have answered my questions. I really appreciate you and everyone's time for taking a look at it.

I wasn't sure how to incorporate it into my translation memory database, so I ended up just copying and pasting the examples you guys provided.
