Counting of for Christmas, what are your plans

Just 3 weeks to go, and it is CHRISTMAS ... one of the best times of the year, the lights, the in some country's snow, the atmosphere, the love, the family together... and many more things

My wife will come the 18th for 3 weeks, so it will be a great time again, the first christmas day i will be in the morning at my dads place, probably playing games, and having breakfast and lunch, and than in the evening at my grandmothers place with my mom and her wife, having dinner... we have presents at both my dad and my grandmothers place. just i have no idea what to buy yet..:?

the second day me and my wife are going to Prague with the train, and i heard there is a swimming festival in there, swimming in a river of 3-5 degrees.. brrrr... , and after that have some lovely dinner and romantic night.


So how about you guys and girls, What will you do with Christmas?

ahh i will be working. go home sleep work again.. im away from home.. no family here.. so no real point in it... New years i have off...

I guess my mom will come and stay at my house for a few days. And I'll go and visit some friends around and about. And have a few drinks. And just chill, really, and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

the only thing that bugs me is the shopping... I love buying presents but it's difficult to know what to get.

i'm broke so i think no one will be recieveing any present from me. i just got hired at dumb old mcdonald th other so i won't have any money for my family before christmas.

but i will be going home for christmas...suprised my family on the morning of christmas...my sister is supposed to be making a huge dinner for us to enjoy. i hope that everything foes as plan.

I'm just going to hang out with my friends and family. And eat food and just give gifts. Not really anything special.

I'll be home, working on my senior thesis. O What fun... (sigh)

But on a more optimistic note, I'll have a ton of books ordered from an online store that I'll be reading for pleasure!

Well, after buying a new iMac for myself, I'll spend Christmas Day with family at a big gathering, opening presents, playing with the kids' toys, watching college football then NBA basketball with the menfolk while gorging ourselves like pigs. Now that's livin'!!

I have finished all my Christmas shopping and everything is wrapped up! I finish work on 20th. The next day I am taking four friends out for lunch instead of getting them Christmas presents. Then I have two days to make the Christmas puddings, decorate the Christmas cake (which my sister baked in October and has been pouring brandy on ever since) and get the house cleaned up. Then it is the same thing every year: My in-laws come round on the afternoon of Christmas Eve. In the evening we go to my sister's. On Christmas morning Simon and I will open our presents, just the two of us. Then I cook a proper Christmas lunch (except for the turkey) just for the two of us. By this time we are so drunk that we can hardly sit at the table. Then we usually have a sleep, before going to my parents to be force-fed some more food and alcohol. Then on Boxing Day we have lunch with my parents and all the family come to us for tea. After that I don't go back to work until 9th January, so I will have nearly two weeks to play all the video games and read all the books that Santa will bring me!

Wish Santa would bring me some video games, but no, Santa throws up obstacles whenever I even suggest buying a game console.

Plans are simple this year. We'll make a simple chicken, garlic mashed potato, and other stuff Xmas dinner stuffs. We'll have stockings, and a few gifts. We're a bit short on funds, so we'll be keeping it quite simple.

It will just be a Xmas with the wife and son. Both my father and mother-in-law must work, and no other family lives near.

I'm working from 10am on the 25th actually. Don't mind at all though since I enjoy what I do. My school is actually in the process of relocating closer to Tenjin in Fukuoka so i'll be busy moving out and tidying up loose ends. As a present for myself, i've decided to buy an Xbox 360 and maybe go watch King Kong with some friends that weekend. Another working Xmas in Japan... complete with KFC and Xmas cake to boot.

I'll go to Christmas mass in the big church in town with my mom, dad, and sister. Then I'll go home and force myself to sleep. After waking up on Christmas morn to a maddash for the tree and making sure the cats don't choke on the wrapping paper, we'll sit around watching the new movie or playing the new game until about 10am. Then the real fun begins.

After 10, we leave for my cousin's house. We go in, eat lunch, talk and play around until dinner time, then, when dinner time arives, we stuff ourselves with a homemade feast full of turkey, ham, chicken, mashed potatoes, not-so-mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, potatoe bread, green beans, corn, sweet corn, jelly, and other anonymous fruits and veggies! After we hire a crane to move us from the dinner table to the living room, we exchange gifts and either spend the night at my grandma's or come home.

I'll probably drag my brother over to my place since he has no other family this christmas to spend time with, christmas diner though is still yet undecided- its a choice at present between roast pheasant or beef steaks.
Probably just chill though with my fiance and brother, exchange presents, eat loads of nice food and watch some dvd's or play some dinking games, or, i dunno, just chat...Just take life as it comes ! :romance: :hanabi:
