"I think that inside every adult is the heart of a child. We just gradually convince ourselves that we have to act more like adults."
It's a quote from Shigeru Miyamoto, I'd like to use it in my communications speech as an attention grabber (speaking it in japanese that is). I'm also taking japanese classes so I can read both katana and hirigana, so no need to romanize it for me. Thank you!

I can read both KATAKANA* and Hirigana. Excuse the typo.

Where did you find the quote? did he make it originally in Japanese because if you find the original Japanese even if it is Kanji paste it and we can more easily turn it into the Japanese he meant.
The quote translated online from English then back into Japanese will surely lose some nuance.

Anyway I am not fluent in Japanese in any way so this will not be fluent and maybe not accurate but should get the point across in a simple way.I am also interested to see how far off I am :)

大人皆さんの胸は子供の心と思います。それから, 私たちに大人の行動を段々教える。

おとな みんなさん の むね は こども の ここ ろ と おもいます。
Adult Everyone's chest is child's heart I think.

それから、 わたしたち に おとな の こうどう を だんだん おしえる。
therefore, us to adults behavior gradually teach

I looked everywhere for the original Japanese quote, but couldn't find it. As long as it's even close I'm fine, so thank you :)

Actually though... I know I said you wouldn't have to romanize it, buuuut do you think you could? There's a few characters I don't recognize there. (Just in case you don't know what that means, it's like spelling out the Japanese sounds in English. For example, こんにちは is Konichiwa).

Just so you know, if you are at the level where you can only just about read the kana it is not wise to be translating such complicated things let alone trying to say them as you will have the flow all wrong. I will try put the official quote in romaji for you, much as I hate romaji
