confusion over a word: help would be lovely, thanks.

I was listening to a Japanese dialogue example from my Japanese Class and there's a word I just can't understand. I'm not sure if I'm hearing it correctly, it sounded something like: shuuzutsu or shizutsu, maybe even suzutsu. But there aren't any Japanese words like that in any dictionaries that I can find. If anyone has any ideas what it means or what I might be mishearing I'd be really grateful for their input.

I guess what you've heard is 手術（しゅじゅつ） shujutsu, meaning operation or surgery.
