confused about sentence from japanese book

the sentence is:
jyuutaku mondai ni tsuite, kondo no doyou ni kenkyuukai ga aru.
the book doesn't give a translation for it so i'm a bit unsure of how to translate this into english. my translation is : Concerning my housing problem, next Saturday there is a research seminar.
i'm confused because my translation makes no sense. the person is talking about housing, then suddenly mentions a research seminar?
i've re read this several times and i'm still confused. I will greatly appreciate any help i can get on this.

Change "my" to "the" (and ask yourself where you got "my" to begin with) and it should be a bit clearer.

jyuutaku mondai : as Mike pointed out, this is the housing problems in general.
ni tsuite: about, on, concerning
kondo no doyou ni: next Saturday
kenkyuukai: conference, seminar (it should be regarded as one word rather than kankyu + kai)
ga aru: there's/there will be

It can be rephrased as
kondo no doyou ni juatku mondai ni tsuite kenkyuukai ga aru.
(There will be a seminor on the housing problems.)

the source of my confusion was when the sentence said kenkyuukai, I didn't think that the research was referring to the housing problem. when i read "research seminar," what immediately popped into my head was something relating to math or science.
