chobits was good till shimbo started to pimp he's teacher then it got boring.
 
I think i'd have to agree Luc...
And the ending was so disappointing, besides that the Fruits Basket manga has just come out here in America ^.^
 
I think fruits basket is so much better, i don't really get what happen when chii find "the one for her".Even though the ending of fruit bakset is like that 2...but the manga have a countine of it.I can't wait till i finish the manga of fruits basket.
 
i love fruits basket! watched the whole anime and read some of the manga. love it to death! chobits is also good but not as good.
 
I was watching chobits yesterday night and forgot how funny it was!
Specially when hideki started rolling around on the ground saying the women at the store were calling him a pervert then chii started.....I was threw...i couldn't stop laughing!

Fruits basket has some funny bits, but most of it's just really sweet.
 
I ADORE Fruits Basket! It was WAY better than Chobits! I didn't like Chobits at all! I own the whole series of Fruits Basket, and could watch it straight through everyday if I had the time or the attention span to do so! hehe. I absolutely love Shigure! Ayame and him have a close call on cuteness, but my all-time favorite character is Akito! So dark, mysterious...and EVIL! I love it! ^_^

Ayame and Shigure are my favorite characters as well; but I have to admit, I really loved Akito...there's just something about those mysterious, confuzzling, sadistic characters that ya' gotta' love ;_;
I rather liked Kyo too ^.^

I think me and you will get along rather well! Gotta love the Akito goodness! But, I LOVE Shigure's goofiness! Especially when he puts his editor through emotional turmoil. teehee 😊

I know. Shigure is so awesome! Him and Ayame should hook up. I love the part in the anime when Ayame comes to the lake house and they start speaking French to one another. ^_^ So adorable!

I'm Hatori. I'm a Dragon! WWEEE! Seahorse...whatever. I showed some of my friends some Fruits Basket last night and they absolutely LOVED it! They wanted more, but I only brought the sampler disc and left the series at home like a retard. I should have known they would want to see more. Ah well......I do love it though, when Shigure and Ayame flirt. Poor Hatori has to be the serious one and keep those two in-line. lol. 😊
 
Hatori does seem to have a worser time of it...especially with how reckless Ayame is ^.^ But it's all good. I think I like Hatori a lot too, mainly because of what a solid character he is even after all that he's gone through!

Yeah. I felt so bad for him...with what happened with him and Kona. He gets his eyes cut out asking to marry her, she gets her memory erased and then he finds out later that she got married. That royally sux ***! lol. But, then another thing comes to mind. I am still wondering why there is so much incest in the Sohma family. Maybe that is why there is like Bipolar disorder (Hatsuharu) and Crossdressers (Ayame and Ritsu) and all that stuff. I dun know....pretty strange. I guess it never occured to Kagura that she wants to marry Kyo...even though he is her cousin. lol. 😄
 
Hahah! I suspect that the whole incest factor isn't really something to worry about with the Sohma family - they're a huge family and branch out a lot, if you'll recall. Usually if relatives are fairly distant than it doesn't cause as much of a problem as far as I know.
Maybe in Japan they don't view incest quite the same way we do? o.O
Who knows?

Lol, Esca at least we've managed to stay half way on topic in this thread, not like most i've been in =p
 
its not ever a compittion fruits is one of the best along with noir and fumofu and lots'a others

as for this poll, definatelly chobits.. someone said it had a more dynamic and interesting storyline, couldnt agree more.. fruits basket was mediocre...

I'm behind the twist! Chobits was INDEED dynamic and interesting storyline. I just hate the opening song on every episode...hearing twice in a row while watching on dvd was starting to annoy me. But i loved it none the less 👍
 
No one loves Fruits basket ;_;
It was just so much more realistic...and the storyline was plenty nifty in itself -.-
