I was looking at the old childhood picture of myself. It`s black and white, and, probably, was taken at the kindergarden
If all kids are so cute and wonderful where do these nasty adults come from later on?
I looked at big eyes of the child i once was and tried to recall what were my thoughts, wishes and dreams.
I remember i always wanted a bike. Well, i had a three-wheeler, but soon it became too small for me. I did envy the guys who had a bike. Funny thing, i still don`t have one =) now i crave for folding Brompton, but looks like it`s still going to be a dream for a while
As long as i remember we had cats. We had three little dogs, while i was quite small, since i`ve turned nine - none. Always wanted big fellow, but like in that movie "The kid" with Bruce Willice younger me would go now
"You don`t even have a dog!"
But i`ve got two cats now, honey, one of them very cute
Mmmm... what i wanted to be? Geez, that many?!
I wanted to be veterinarian, but growing older found out that my squeamishness also grew up, sorry, kid, i still love animals but hardly can be a vet-doctor
I thought of being a teacher... Well, my educational background allow me to be one. But i lack certain skills, besides, people do change with time (wonder, is it always for better?) and i don`t want to be a teacher anymore.
I can`t be an astronaut, not even plane pilot, i`d spit my stomach and guts out into huge plastic bag
But, kiddo, i still want to believe that one day i`ll be able to go under sails
I didn`t make any outstanding discoveries or inventions, live in our small town, wasn`t in Africa and can`t ride a skate-board, don`t own a horse and
never jumped with parachute...
Hey, maybe, that`s why you look so sad on this pic? You knew i`d eventually fail you all along?
But, girlie, i am enjoying the life and still alive! Does that count?
So, guys, what were your childhood dreams? Which ones you fullfilled, which
ones are long forgotten, and which ones still have a chance?
