Checking my Japanese (two sentences)

Hey guys.

I'm a noobie, never been on forums really before in my life...and I'm in college, only been studying Japanese for 3 years now.

Just wanna check if this sounds natural.
(My computer isn't working with it's language bar for some reason, I can only type katakana, so please bare with the romaji)

wakai uti ni nihon ni ikoo to omou tame ni, kono-goro nihongo o benkyou sitemasu.. zitu wa, kotosi no huyu made, nihon ni iku tumori desu.

若いうちに日本に行こうと思うために、このごろ日本語を勉強してます。実は今年の冬まで、日本に行くつもりです。

I am not sure if it is natural but that should be the kana. Someone correct me please if I am wrong.

I would change "omou tame ni" to "omotte iru node."

What you have there says "I am planning to go to Japan until this winter." If you want to say "before/by this winter" it would be "kotoshi no fuyu made ni"
