A member of these forums said he learned this sentence in only a few weeks or months, in his second semester of japanese in college, he made it sound like it was very easy to learn. I'm nwe to japanese and it is very confusing because it uses a condiational statement "if" and somehow means "more" as well (with the second kanji) which I have NO IDEA why.

"ii" means good or is used as a request. The fisrt kanji Is "I" , the nextg one is nara which means "if.." kore no person (This person. How does this work? He metnions person yet he doesn't say it. I guses it got normalized?)

And finally kedo, "Although..." or but.

You misunderstood. I said this material is covered within the first 2 semesters of my college level Japanese class. That's a huge difference from a few weeks.

nara is kind of like "if it's the case." 俺なら is like "if it were I" or "if you're talking about me"

this and other forms are not the kind of things a student would learn in the first couple weeks of class. it's very important to get the basics down before you can create complex sentences.

Oh, okay. So I don't need to worry about it now? I'll probably laern it near the end of my first year.

Also, how long do I have to apply for a passport before I get it? I heard i gotta wait 6 months?
