Hi, my name is Anthea and I have just signed up to this forum in the hope of tracing some residents of Japan who may have done some ceroc dancing before. Ceroc dancing is a blend of Jive and Salsa which is very popular in Australia and increasingly so in the UK. As there is a large ex-pat community of Westerners out in Japan, I'm hoping that someone may be able to put me in touch with a friend or acquaintance who has some knowledge of ceroc, or even other forms of dance would do. If there is anyone out there who is missing being spinning (or being spun!!) round that dance floor, please drop me a line.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Have fun :-) 🙂
I'll ask my dance teacher and see if she has ever heard of ceroc. I can jive and salsa, so a mixture of the two could be interesting. Just an aside I do Tap, Ballroom and several different latin dance.

A great big arm full of hugs and welcomes to you there anthea !!

I hope you have a great time on the forum and that you can eventually get in contact with those who you wish to find--if I understood that correctly.
Post when you can and dance through all the great subjects that are on all of our minds and hearts. Hope to hear from you !!

Mycernius. . .a dancer?!! WOW !! That sounds nice !! Now me? Yeah, I can do the twist--I practice most every night with a bath towel. . . and the mashed potatoe? Sure, whenever I get in the mood to fry up a batch of good ole Southern Fried Chicken. But my most favorite step is the 'don't step on my blue suede shoes' toe stomping number. (Oh. . . and I almost forgot, I'm quite good at the 'electric shock', you know, the step where. . . well, no, it's not really a 'step', you just kind of shake all over, in any ways, means, or degree--as though you'Ve lost all control over your own body.

See you !!
