The most beautiful part of America - Seattle, Washington. It's green and we got mountains and the ocean all in the same spot. The weather is kind of dreary sometimes, but we're used to that. Somewhat similar in climate and appearance to New Zealand.
Portland , Maine is a pretty nice place. 4 seperate & different seasons. Live about 200 yards from the ocean, but can see the White Mountains on clear days. Boston, New York, and Canada are all only a few hours drive away. The local airport is only half an hour away, if you want to fly out somewhere.
a very diverse culture, 103 different languages & dialects spoken at the high school. People aren't super friendly, but will help you at the drop of a hat.If I had to say something bad about the area, it would only be the cost of living & high taxes vs. low paying jobs & limited choices on employment. Been living here 50 years, probably die here some day.
Upstate NY, northern part of the Adirondack Mountains, very pretty in summer, very cold in winter.
People here say we have four seasons: winter, still winter, thaw and construction.

I LOVE the U.S. and was just curious...I have lived in San Francisco and New York, both very different places, and I can see that you are all spread out in this big, big country!!
I will visit the U.S. in 2005 too, since I love travelling there....
I live in the mountains of sunny Southern California. 75 miles east of Los Angeles. I've got a foot of snow up at my house and it is 80 degrees at work. We can surf and snowboard in the same day.
