Yeah, Im curious

I knew a girl from Tokyo, and she was a exchange student.

Anyway I wanted to ask her out, but I was just to nervous about asking her. Any words of wisdom.

yep this is how i did it.

sumimasen, konshuu no shumatsu nani wo suru yote desu ka?
(what are you doing this weekend?very polite)

doko ka soto ni ikimasen ka?
(would you like to go out somewhere?-very polite)

motto anatato ohanashi shittai desu
(i would like to speak with you more)

Try this one, it always works: "otonashiku tsuite koi"

Hey thanks

Next time, I get to see her Ill try. I hope by then, I will have learned enough Japanese to understand her response.

"Any words of wisdom?"

Yeah, take the time to get to know her first before entertaining any romantic notions about the two of you. I'm only guessing, but sounds like you're merely attracted to her on a physical level (which is all fine and good) but how many actual dialogues have you had up to this point? Learning a few clever phrases will only get you so far once she actually decides to accept your invitation. My advice is simple. Take time to get to know her better before you ask her out. If you think you're attraction to her might be more than casual then she'll be worth all the time and effort to "get it right", ne? 8-) Good luck.

Yeah, I see what you mean. My apologizes I seem to have put th cart in front of the horse. I knew this J-girl my sophmore year of highschool, we were good friends, and I wanted to take her to a movie. Yeah I woud have liked to have had a deeper relationship with her, but She moved to California about about mid year, and afterwards She returned to Tokyo. I met her through my english class. So thats why Im asking, and the reason being didnt ask her then, is that I didnt want to some how cause her any problems with the host family she was staying with. Thatswhy I asked here on Jref, because I always find good advice.
