The website you provided the link to looks like a sequel to Skyhigh. I've seen the original and liked it. So, the star of Princess Blade is in that flick. Interesting! She's cleaned up good since PB! HA!

I tried to watch Nabi at the weekend. Gave up after an hour, and wished for the hour back. But it might be a good cure for insomnia.

Cant remember if I ever saw that one. Stupid love story atypical of every other stupid love story in asian films? Probably did, I had a tendency to watch korean films with titles I understood.

Dont know if I said this, but RED EYE (korean trian horror) was terrible. Put my scaredy cat friend to sleep.
 
Hanzo the Razor - it's just bizarre!! If I were in a really laughy mood I might attempt it again. I just couldn't get through it the first time. It could be pretty funny, if you're not eating, cos it could seriously put you off your dinner. Maybe with drinking and a silly mood ok. I will never think of Zatoichi the Blind Swordsman the same way again -

Yep, that's the one. The premise sounded quite good - it is set in the near future and is about a woman who is trying to catch a virus that erases memories. Basically it consists of the woman, her guide and a taxi driver driving for a bit, arguing for a bit, driving some more, taking a shower, cooking dinner, driving some more. Sorry for the cliche, but it was like watching paint dry.
 
hahah, yeah there are a few Korean films made in the late 90's early 00's that are tragically sad. Do you have easy access to Korean films? I could give you the names of a few enjoyable ones. Or some thrillers and comedy flicks. Dont watch the one called Kara either. I loved the title (naturally), so watched it purely for that reason. From there it was just odd. Hahah maybe a bit like me.
I dont understand how in Korean love stories, when some teensy tiny thing goes wrong it starts to rain. Then the woman or the man will just stand in the rain for hours and hours.
If you have been to Korea when its raining you will know that this would never ever happen. A tiny little dribble of rain causes great havoc, and all of a sudden there are umbrellas for sale everywhere. Its pathetic. Maybe it's just that their hair will get wet. We cant have that.
I've seen people crying because they have gotten wet. They turn immobile, and dont want to move for fear of getting wet. Anyway WAYYY off topic.

the movies that I wished I hadn't seen as one of them Otoko wa tsurai yo vids that somebody brought to a party once..... after watching about 30 minutes of it, one of the viewers said "This isn't Otoko wa tsurai yo (It's hard being a man), it's Miru no hou wa tsurai yo!" meaning that the "It's excruciating on the ones watching the movie..." I suppose to be fair, the movie might be ok if you're in the right mood, but it's not something to watch at a party...nearly put everybody to sleep

Also, didn't like Rasen....aside from the autopsy scene, there really wasn't much that was really scary to it or freaky about it.....[/icode]

It's an 'archetype', my dear. It is indicative of the overarching sadness of the genre, don't you know - the sorrow is so deep it is like a downpour in your soul (said in a pretentious voice with my nose in the air) ;-)

Anyway, they dont need to include the sad rain scene in every drama series and love movie. Especially in a country where the rain is feared.
I guess I just get bothered, because one movie can become a great hit, but then everyone just goes crazy for the same genre of film, they dont use any imagination, and focus on the best scenes of the afore premiered film.
Having taken film and television studies, I just get bothered when there is a lack of imagination.
Hmm I should have focused more on script writing, than prosthetics and special effects.
 
Saw the live action version of GTO last night. Yawn! Quite a disappointment, at least to me anyway. For starters, the setting was in some hick town in the sticks instead of in Tokyo, and the whole atmosphere was more slapstick than edgy like the manga or the anime as it was played up as a dopey comedy. The only saving grace was Takashi Sorimachi as Onizuka who was every bit as thuggish and cartoonish and deceptively caring towards his students as the animation version. Otherwise, the movie wasn't all that great. It just didn't have that rough hewn spark that the manga or anime did. In the end, that was disappointed me most.
 
never watch Junk. A very bad Japanese zombie movie. The title describes the quality

hmm. didn't know that. japanese shows are just as bad with those rain sequences imo (koi ga shtai X3, sekai shuushin de, etc.)

i really dislike "VERSUS" -__-;; i always heard a lot about it, and i thought it would be good..but it was awful! like watching a crappy homemovie -__- a lot of people say it's one of those movies that are so bad it's funny... am i missing something? haha

lol, you all give in too much to eachother about BR2. Their had to be some sort of end to the storyline, it couldn't end there. What was wrong with BR2 anyway?

hmm...There is one I can think off, an old chinese kung fuu film but I can't remember.
 
All japanese horror. They really are not very well made. Like the made-for-TV specials, CreapShow. This is the CreapShow seen in United States.
 
i couldn't watch ichi the killer. i don't know whats the point of that movie. some people say that movie is the best, but i guess that just because they want to show how tough they r? ☝ well it was to gross for me
 
There's not a single asian movie that I wish I hadn't seen.
Even the bad ones have a message.
There are a few ones I couldn't finish,
but I don't wish that I hadn't seen them.
You learn something about yourself when you watch bad movies.
