I wonder why SPAMMERS we have banned here on JREF keep returning day after day , year after year ?? Are they looking for information on our members to creat better and more informed SPAM ? Do they find our forum so great and interesting that they come here to enjoy the posts, even though they can not contribute to the forum ? Is there some evil geeky thing they are doing while logged into the forum that we can not prevent ?
For the banned SPAMMER's who return day in and day out, should we offer them an amnesty to join "IF" they promise not to SPAM again ?

I'm quite curious about spammers too, I'm not sure what they gain if anything except some minor attention from their actions. It could be that some are taking their frustrations out on the cyber-world due to real life problems or maybe it is just some punk 12 year old kids thinking their funny or something.

What I really wonder about is why they keep returning to JREF after being banned ?? I see some of them log on almost every day , monthes and even years after being banned. I wonder if they would like to join JREF after they see how interesting it is and feel bad they were banned? I wonder if they use JREF to practice their reading and understanding of language? Are they studying our members to see what they might like to buy? I would think that once they are banned they would never return again? All very interesting to me.

I do work in some Internet Marketing and have learned my share of blackhat techniques. What they are most likely doing is using a software called xrumer, which is an advanced tool for blasting large amounts of backlinks across a wide variety of websites such as forums and blogs. To them this forum is only 1 of 1000s they go through which is why it doesn't matter if they get banned. There are also a lot of groups that get paid to use the software for marketers that don't want to bother with it. The software probably queries all the forum profiles to see which forums it can post on or something. I've never used it so I can't say for sure.

I banned my wife , then logged in under her account, and it would not let me read posts. It just pops up with a notice about being banned and I could not read posts. So that means all those banned members are logging in and can't see anything. Sounds like "bsmith23" is right and they are up to something, LOL.

The same thing is happening in another forum i'm a member in,i see many banned members logged in,every day i see the same banned members and it's really weird.!
Maybe we (innocents) don't understand the guilty people
I remember when i spammed once and got that warrning i worried about my membership and i never spammed after that.
