Any Good Japanese Web-sites?

Hi,
Does anyone have any suggestions for any Japanese web-sites that are good for practicing reading Japanese.
I passed level 2 Japanese proficiency (日本語能力試験) a few years ago, but have forgotten a lot since then so Japanese news sites tend to have an overwhelming amount of Kanji that I don't know and are generally pretty boring anyway.
So, any sites that have basic Japanese content that's updated frequently and is reasonably interesting?

Kids Goo

You can choose the furigana setting in many websites.

Then search news media, such as Nikkei, Yomiuri, and Sankei
From the search engine from kids goo, try to find ワールドビジネスサテライト where you can find some movies as well.

If you passed Level 2, you should be at something more than a "basic" level of Japanese reading (and, I would presume, quite capable of finding sites on your own). Have you given thought to procuring and reading Japanese books?

And it has been asked how many times before ? At least 5-10 a barely decent search should turn up for everyone.

Hi,

In reply to mikecash - my lack of study in past 5 years (and lack of contact with Japanese-speaking friends) means I've forgotten a lot since I took 2-kyu. Also, I'm living in Wellington, New Zealand, which makes buying Japanese books very difficult and expensive. Things have progressed a lot on the web since I was looking at Japanese material 5 years ago, so I was hoping for some good suggestions - Kuzzy and pipokun's suggestions were much appreciated.

And in reply to Elizabeth - I did have a quick search through past discussions before posting, but none of the web-sites mentioned seemed at my level or were particularly interesting - plus it didn't seem to be a recent point of discusion, so thought noboby would mind mentioning what sites they browse for fun Japanese reading.

The search function is very hit or miss--at least for me. I've searched and didn't find anything.
