Hi, I'm translating a song and I just need help with a particular clause:
「美しい日々幾度願い拭った手」
I asked on SharedTalk, and what I got was this:
"beautiful days so many times to wipe hands out for best wishes"
Now.. that wording isn't exactly beautiful, but I'm confused where the meaning comes from. I understand the temporal nouns, but I'm confused how you get "to wipe hands out for best wishes" from 「願い拭った手」. I don't fully understand how it works when a noun follows a verb. So, is 「拭った手」 "hands that wiped" or "wiped hands"? (if clasp isn't a better word, I don't know what it means by wiped..) Then, how does that connect with the noun for wishes/prayers? Is something like a particle being omitted?
Thanks.
