Hello! Can somone help me translate this lyrics line by line into English? It's "Hana Moyu" music theme. Actually, I found Yoshida Shoin's poem with translation, on which it's based on, but it confused me more) I would be grateful if someone explain me grammar and words connection)

♬「愚かなる 吾れのことをも」
♬「友とめづ人は わがとも友と」
♬「吾れをも 友とめづ人は」
♬「わがとも友と めでよ人々」

♬「吾れをも 友とめづ人は」
♬「わがとも友と めでよ人々」
♬「燃ゆ」

Yoshida Shoin poem:

Now I know, that
めづ = 愛する

愚かなる吾れをも友とめづ人はわがとも友とめでよ人々

愚かなる吾れをも友とめづ modifies 人.
人 is the object of めでよ.
わがとも友 is a quotation, expressing the way to love.
めでよ is the imperative form of めづ.

Did you get your previous questions, by the way? Any response?

Yep, thanks)

----
Are song and poetry meaning different, or is it only different constructions of the same words?

愚かなる吾れをも友とめづ人はわがとも友とめでよ人々

愚かなる 吾れのことをも
友とめづ人は わがとも友と

吾れをも 友とめづ人は
わがとも友と めでよ人々
吾れをも友と めづ人は
わがとも友と めでよ人々

愚かなる
吾れ(のこと)をも友とめづ人はわがとも友と
吾れをも友とめづ人はわがとも友と
めでよ人々
吾れをも友とめづ人はわがとも友と
めでよ人々

They are the same. Some phrases are just repeated for the sake of the rhythm/melody. 吾れのこと and 吾れ are also the same in meaning.
The given English translation is wrong, by the way.

I'll try...
People! As I love the friends of mine, you should love those who love foolish me as their own friend.

People, love those who love even foolish me as their friend, as your own friend.
(= love them as your own friend)

"I" is not the subject of "to love" in that sentence.
