A question on how some words are used.

1. のですか as used in 私は何を食べに行きます(Also, Why is there a を after 何? Should it not be after 食べ as what i'll be eating is the object? As well as why に is after 食べ. I mean i'm doing something rather than actually going somewhere.
(sorry if stupid. I'm quite basic)

2. では How is this used correctly?

I can't understand what you mean by " のですか as used in 私は何を食べに行きます".

何 is the object, and を is put directly after the object.

The -masu stem of a verb + に行く means "to go (a place) to do".
e.g.
買いに行く
to go shopping

彼女に会いに行く
to go to meet her
