I think Gackt is ok, so I neither hate nor love him. I decided tho that no gackt song that can't match up to Vanilla will be worth it. And so far I havn't found any...

Hey! Eh, I always fell awkward when adding on to posts that are already pretty long and uh 'bubbling' but I couldn't help but comment; Hey Sinfull it's awesome that you met Gackt! That's really cool! I am indeed a Gackt fan, I listened to 'Feel the Fire' today.... *laughs crazily* But other than him satisfying my need for a quick laugh I think he's awesome. And Sinfull, what you said about him based on the interview matches what I'd think of him so that's nice to hear.
Oh and he was wicked awesome in MoonChild by the way, along with Hyde (my lover... ). Overall I think he's just simply put: 'Cool'. Oh and sexy too, ne c'est pas?

Ah, and Illuminati... *suffers a seizure* dude, that's great! I can't watch it before I go to bed though... nor can I show it to new friends because I scare them away and they don't visit anymore...

Hi Sinfull.. what a lucky man... You had a chance to met Gackt and talk to him.. I dream of it everyday. hope someday it'll come true..
I'm a newbie here, and I'm a huge fan of Gackt. I think his personality is great, unique but interesting to know. He also a very good looking guy, and his musical skill is awesome. His songs are wonderful and his stage performances also very nice..

Man, I wish I could meet Gackt. Though if I did I'd be tempted to go "Ah, Butabara" LOL
I like Gackt even though I disagree with him on certain points. But those points have nothing to do with his music so it's all good.
I love that he's honest, says what he means before thinking about how it might sound or be taken by the public. His music reflects his shameless honesty. When his music is happy it's bounce-off-the-walls-back-off-Puffy-Ami-Yumi-Gackt's-comin'-through-happy but when it's sad it'll rip your heart out and crush it.
Anyone who knows me knows the womenizing is one of the things I don't like about him and his view on women in gen. But I try to keep from holding that against him...too much. I wouldn't go so far as to call him a Sexist Pig or anything like that but I still think his view on women needs some serious revamping.
And yeah, I am attracted to him but given the chance I don't think I would sleep with him either and not EVEN a one night stand. I admire his music, think he's beautiful, drool over him but I guess I'm no groupie no matter what I do.
I used to REALLY honest to Goddess love Gackt but lately my opinion of him has sunk somewhat. I don't hate him or even dislike him. I just...I dunno. I like him a whole lot and all but...I guess I need some time to process certain things about him before I can really say I love him again. If I ever do love love him again.

Count me in as a fan.

I don't understand why some folks don't just see him as someone not suiting their tastes, but actually despise him for no valid reason. I've come across arguments that his music and voice has become more Americanized, but I don't really see that, nor do I see why that's necessarily bad. Actually, most of the arguments against that I've seen degenerate into baseless name-calling. And lack of originality I don't think is a problem for Gackt; with the exception of some of the songs on Love Letter and his more commercially succesful pop songs (Black Stone, Another World, etc), I fail to see where he doesn't push himself.

(One other pet peeve is I don't get why people so easily dismissed 7th Night. What'd you expect from an acoustic album?)

Anyway, like H.I.M.A.D., my interests have dipped recently. This is actually mostly because I've found more artists to branch out to, but this doesn't mean he's bad. Actually, I think his music has gotten better since Moon, with a slight dip in LL.

I haven't really followed Gackt's music amazingly much. I had about 7 songs, and then I got the latest album Diabolos. Out of the first handful of songs I got, some of them I really liked, and some of them I couldn't stand. So, strangely... or not so strangely, lol... I admired and respected his diversity... also I could hear that he was a good musician, so... yeah, all due respect to him. But, the fact that I both liked and disliked his songs meant that I didn't go out of my way to find more, which I probably should do if only to give him a fair hearing. Having said that, I liked the Diabolos album! I really prefer something a bit heavier, with better basslines and more bite to the guitars, but the melodies were good, and... yeah, let's just say I can appreciate his ability.

I haven't seen Sinfull around on the board for ages - I wonder what happened to him? :?

Anyway, wow, I never knew there were actually people here that didn't car so much about Gackt.
I don't care so much anymore. I mean he's dead funny! And he does some seriously genious things and he was in Malice Mizer(that I'm not a fan of but has respect for), and I'd say he has a great voice. But it's not my kind of music anymore, he's gotten so soft.
And (can I say this here?) sence Moon Child I've gone from thinking he's nothing special(look-wise) to actually think he's unatractive...
Also, it seems all he ever sings about is girls or sex, but I still he's damn funny!

So far he is one person I have not yet met. I was introduced to his music some months back by some friends of mine.

I don't really know anything about him, the little I do he seems to be quiet intriguing and reminds me of a few others.
But I've had comings and goings with enough famous people to know that making assumptions on them based on hear say or public acts is a null point.

For me, meeting people is almost like a hobby. Granted most people I will turn out to not like, but it's rewarding when I find the exceptional people, famous or otherwise.

On another note, Sinfull, did you enjoy your trip to Japan?
