Question A light-hearted question about how to say something in Japanese

[Kaba-Otoko]

I'm a がいじん with beginner-level experience with the Japanese language, and I'm wondering how to say something in Japanese in a way which sounds the most natural to native speakers.

I'm into hippopotamuses ( かば ), and in English-language forums, I sometimes give myself the nickname "HippoMan".

How would I say "HippoMan" in Japanese in the way that sounds the best to Japanese speakers?

Would it be かばおとこ ? Or maybe かばだんせい ? Or would it be preferable for me to say it in a different way?

As far as nicknames there aren't real set rules, but I think I gravitate towards "kaba-otoko," as "dansei" is kind of clinical or official sounding
You could even go with 河馬マン / カバマン, kaba-man, which sounds a little like a superhero of sorts!

So, that would be かば カバマン , and it would sound like "kaba kabaa", correct? If so, I really like that!

Correction: Oh, I misunderstood, but now I do understand! I now see that 河馬 or かば is simply "kaba", and マン is the foreign loan-word for "man", as in a superhero name.

河馬マン sounds pretty good to me. It reminds me of Kinniku Man.
