I would like to know something about the following proverb.

"One kind word can warm three winter months."

They say it is a Japanese proverb, but I am quite unsure whether that is really correct or not. Does anyone know about how to say it in Japanese ?

Thanks in advance.

Hm, I searched the web for references, but only found a few English quotations of that allegedly Japanese proverb. Some sources say the proverb is of Chinese origin.

My wife couldn't come up with any "real" Japanese proverb of its kind.
