1. Ｊ－ＰＯＰのミュージシャン達は、必ず一曲は沖縄風の音楽をアルバムに入 れているから・・・

Here I'm unsure about 必ず一曲は. It looks to me as if it's saying J-POP musicians without fail include one Okinawan-style tune on their albums, but that struck me as unlikely to be true (though admittedly I know nothing about "J-POP").


2. This is the last line of a letter.

じゃ、これからバンドの練習に行ってくるから、この辺 で。

I assume the first part means "Well, I'm off to band practice now", but what is この辺で? It looks as if it should be some kind of sign-off, but I can't seem to find any relevant meanings in the dictionary.


3. 大きい風呂は南館一階の「デイゴの間」です。

To me this looks like "The large bath is 「デイゴの間」 on the first floor at the south of the building". What does 「デイゴの間」 mean? I wondered if it was the name of a room, but then I can't see why ～です would be used, rather than say ～にあります.


4. 彼は怠け者に対して点が辛い。

Translation given: "He is very hard on lazy people."

Does 点 here mean something like "manner"?

That's exactly what the speaker/writer said, and obviously not true. It's an exaggeration.

デイゴ is a tree/flower endemic only in Okinawa in Japan, and yes, デイゴの間 refers to the name of a room. にあります would be more grammatically appropriate, but です is acceptable and actually used. I think that that kind of sentence is often used as an answer "Where is bath?"

2) So does この辺で mean (literally) "at this juncture", so この辺で、失礼します/さよなら would basically mean something like "Now it's time I said goodbye"?

4) Could you think of a way to phrase that sentence in English using the word "score" (or maybe think of another synonym for "score")? At the moment I can't see how "score" has a relevant meaning, but I may be misunderstanding something else about the sentence...

That's from "score" in a test/exam. So, 点が辛い means "to be strict in grading".
