変な日本語か∥方言か∥間違った日本語か

I ran this by Mikawa the other day, and he was just as confused as I was. I thought I'd run it by everyone else here, because this is some of the strangest use of the language I've ever seen.

First, on person says:

よくフィリピン人や東南アジア系の人達と間違えられますが、１００％日本人です。大阪生まれの大阪育ちで、こてこての大阪弁を話します。

Let's call this person "Jim." So Jim is from Osaka, born and raised.

Then, the second person says:

とで有名な奈良出身です。でも外国の人に奈良と言っても分かってもらえない場合が多いので、よく大阪出身だとをついています。アメリカに来て３年半ほどです。

Let's call this person "Jane." Jane is from Nara. Next, let's get into the funky stuff.

Jim:

のジャーナルで、リュック(backpack)ので、日本から来た留学生か、ロコジャパニーズか（男性）をするを見つけたと書きましたが、今日はその話をしたいと思います。

私が始めてここに来てこのを見たとき、日本のがランドセルを歩いているを思い出しました。

私にはとてもに見えますが、反対に彼らは日本人のリュックの背負い方を見てだらしないなぁと感じていたりするのかな？なんて思うとありません。

がチェックしてみて下さい。

Alright, now onto Jane.

新聞ならやっぱりきちんとしたで、なで書かれているでしょうし、ファッションならに近いのあるで書かれていると思います。日本のならそういったものがすぐにピンとくるので、によってをことがにできたのですが、英語となると本当に難しかったです。なので今回は英語のニュースサイトをにしました。やはり自分が思いもつかない表現や、などがたくさんありになりました。

に、のはずっとしてみたいと思っていました。でも歌詞の翻訳は本当にしいと思います。

自分のににいるなのであれば、のはかもしれないけど、そうでなかったらのとはものになってしまいそうです。

And there's more, like 話したらが and the like. So am I just really missing something here? Does this look like any sort of dialect? Or is this just wrong?

I think it is a "窶｢ﾂｶﾅｽﾅ｡窶ｰﾂｻ窶堋ｯ". The least it is not a dialect.

Well, I can try different encodings, but I doubt that would make it more intelligible.

I agree with Nangi-san that it doesn't sound like any dialect (that I know of--and I know quite a bit).

The first introductions appear native, so I have a feeling that they are Japanese speaking in code or some rule that they set up for themselves. Something like pig Latin(?) I heard kids speak when I was a kid.

In short, I'm lost....

That's an interesting way to look at it. I suppose it's possible, but... well... at any rate, I'm glad I'm not the only one it doesn't make sense to.

I think it's taking the "highly contextual language" thing a bit too far. About half of it is intelligible, but it really makes no sense. Proof that even Japanese people can screw up their own language?

Wasn't this originally on some kind of an on-line journal for class at school? If so, it seems strange that they would write in "pig-latin", although not impossible, of course.

I agree that the first entry, which I say today for the first time, looks like very regular Japanese. Afterwords, it looks like either they were VERY sloppy or they just aren't taking the journal seriously enough to do it properly.

My final analysis yesterday was either that they aren't really native Japanese speakers OR they are ふざけている。

Yeah, I suppose, but still... it's kind of a serious deal, you know? I find it hard to believe that they would be doing that for something they'll be graded on (although it's not graded harshly... maybe that has something to do with it too?).
