1. A woman has been explaining how she is having problems at work with a senior colleague who is ignoring her. Her friend then says 何かあったの？ How would you translate this in this context? Is it like "Has any incident (in particular) happened (to cause these difficulties)?"
2. 前のチームの上司
Does this mean the boss of the team that the speaker used to work for? Or the previous boss of the team the speaker presently works for? Or is it ambiguous?
3. 足立： ま、ひとつ言えることは、上司には相談しない ほうがいいんじゃない。無視してる先輩にしてみればお もしろくないじゃない。なんか告げ口されてみたいでさ 。
I believe this basically means: "Well, for one thing, I wouldn't go and talk to your boss. If this colleague who's ignoring you sees that, he won't be amused. It will be like you're telling tales."
a) Is にしてみれば a set phrase? I vaguely recall it may be like an emphatic version of は, but I could be mixing it up with something else.
b) In English "amused" works OK here; does おもしろい have the same sense in Japanese?
c) Is 先輩 the (passive) subject of 告げ口されて?
4. The conversation continues:
で、さっちゃん自身は悪気がなくても、それって、結構 マイナスに働いちゃうからさあ。
My translation: "Well, even though there's no ill-will on your part [さっちゃん], this sort of thing ends up creating negativity at work."
Is this more or less correct? Does マイナスに働いちゃう literally mean "(you'll) end up working negatively"?
5. それでも続けるようだったら、仕事は仕事って割り切ち ゃっていくしかないんじゃない。
I get as far as "If this [= your colleague ignoring you] continues, there's no choice but to..."
Then I'm stuck on 仕事は仕事って割り切る.
Incidentally, should 割り切ちゃって be 割り切っちゃって?
