だからまあーー俺はさ、あの女の子の能力は、いろんな人の想いを受け取って世界に届けるっていう、なんかそういうもんなんじゃないかって思うんだよね。

Hi. What is the function of the っていう in red here? I only know it is the same as という but it doesn't seem to mean "they say" here.
Thank you.

っていう modifies もん. The core of the clause about his thoughts is 能力は、届けるっていうもん/というものだ. This is a typical structure for explanation or definition. Please refer to the following post.

もの is used instead of こと here since 能力 is a noun.
cf.
彼女の能力は、想いを世界に届けるというものだ。
彼女にできるのは、想いを世界に届けるということだ。

Thanks a lot. I didn't notice that since the っていう and the もん are separated by 、なんかそういう. Or is the もん following the っていう just being omitted?

It's the former, なんかそういう is inserted between っていう and もの. This kind of modifying is not so uncommon. You must have come across similar patterns like below, right?
e.g.
想いを世界に届けるっていう、そんな感じのもの
想いを世界に届けるっていう、にわかには信じられないもの
想いを世界に届けるっていう、皆にとって役に立つもの

It's just two or more modifying clauses/adjectives modify the same noun. I believe you must be familiar with the following ones. Your example is just っていう is used for the first clause and the modified noun is a pronoun もの.
e.g.
大きな、黒い袋
昨日店に来た、きれいなお客さん
駅前に建っている、窓がたくさんあるビル

Oh, I see your idea. Yes, I have come across a lot of expressions along those lines . I retract what I said previously. 😅
