This number appears in a light novel I'm reading.

"The acceptance rate didn't exceed twice of 11 percent?

I'm not sure how to go about that number because of the way it's written.

倍 following a number normally means "times"/"-fold", not "twice". 1.1倍 - 1.1 times (110%). The point is read "てん" normally.

倍率 with exams etc. refers to the number of applicants compared to the number of people who succeeded - this would mean that for every 110 people who took the exam, 100 passed.

Thank you. I wasn't sure how it was read because I wasn't sure if 一・一 just meant 11, I didn't think it was a decimal.
