Hi,

1.

Can this mean either "Tim's boss" or "Tim, the boss"?

Can this mean "Tim, the boss"? Can it mean anything else?

Is this correct Japanese?

3. The speaker is nailing up the letterbox to prevent delivery of letters.

Does 配達させなけりゃ mean "if I/we don't let (them) deliver (the letters)"?

I essentially understand this, but what exactly is the purpose of で?

1) a)
Both are possible, but it only means the latter as a calling in speech.

b)
Hmm, probably that's the only one meaning.

2) 3)
Yes.

4)
to indicate the cause/reason or means

Thank you,

In (4), そんなこと refers to nailing shut the letterbox. Does うまくいく describe the outcome that will happen as a result of nailing shut the letterbox?

Yes, that's right.

In addition to #1, the usage "Tim's boss" is rare. ティムの会社の社長 is more common for the case.
