ズボッと抜けてしまう

I found this phrase and am having trouble with ズボッ. I first thought it was some sort of 擬音語 or something, but now after a bit of researching my best guess is that it's short for 図星（ずぼし）. Am I right?

No, your first instinct was right.

ズボッ is onomatopoeia describing something falling out of place (or fitting into place in other cases) in a large mass or in its entirety.

Ah. Well, is there a good website where I can look up onomatopoeia? I had tried

but I never find anything I'm looking for there. In fact I've had better luck with Yahoo!辞書 but neither of them had ズボッ.

This has been said in many past threads, but onomatopoeia in the Japanese language is an area that is not extensively covered in dictionaries and textbooks because of the existing wide variety of giongo, combined with complications of the variations growing ever wider from creative use.

Looking in the other direction, I have a hard time looking for onomatopoeia in English to express sounds like ズボッ for instance.

The closest approximate I can think of is: Krr-plop! (Maybe?? )

I was thinking "thwoomp," but, uh... that's not really a word, and I doubt anyone ever uses it seriously. Still, it seems to mimic what I imagine what you described would sound like.
