Hi,

1. 週間の休暇を取っても良い事になった。

I am having difficulty understanding the purpose of も. Normally I understand ~ても to have a meaning like "even if", but I don't see how that makes sense here.

2. 「長旅だから、ねずみをたくさん入れといたし、プラン デーも入れといたよ」

Is 入れといた = 入れて + おいた (置いた)?

1)
~てもいい is a form for permission.

Even if I take a week off, it's good. = I'm allowed to take a week off. / I can take a week off.

2)
Right.

Oh, yeah, I do recognise that usage of ~てもいい now, thanks.

Oh, I forgot to ask, does this ~といた have any connotations of rough/rural/vulgar/old person's/etc. speech?

Just colloquial. It's used whether in rural/dialectal speech or in urban/standard speech, or by young or by old.
