ah! I am very sorry! I'm doing a survey for a project in my japanese language class. The topic is about 'manekineko'(good luck cats)
1. can you see manekineko everywhere in japan?
2. There are many different types of manekineko, what is most popular? (do you like most?)
3. Do you have any? How many? (4.) why?

Konnichiwa Margaret-san!

Welcome and Hajimemashite!

1. can you see manekineko everywhere in japan?

I don't usually look a manekineko, but I look in small(and old) store sometimes.

2. There are many different types of manekineko, what is most popular? (do you like most?)

I think white is most popular(tri-color pattern is the second?).

3. Do you have any? How many? (4.) why?

I have a kitty Manekineko. Because she is very cute.😌

Is this a native to Japan phenomenon? Because it looks very similar to the "Hello Kitty" good luck mascot, but I've seen very similar porcelain figurines around Chinese restaurant counters as well with inscriptions such as "good luck and wealth (12,000 of an ancient unit of currency)" in place of "mane(ki)neko" or "/shou?/mane?fuku." It's just harder to imagine a cute culture taking root there in quite the same way. ;)
