Hi,
1. 「ついてないな。あの伝票さえ担当していなければ・・・」
Does this mean "What bad luck! If only that receipt wasn't my responsibility!" (i.e. wishing that she wasn't responsible for a mistake that has occurred)?
2. 社会心理学では、なぜそうなったのかを考えることを「 原因帰属」といい、観察して得られたデータをもとに、その理論化が試みられてきた。
My translation: "In social psychology, the question of why this is so [= why people react in certain ways] is called 「原因帰属」, and these theories have been tested based on data obtained from observation."
a) Meaning-wise, it looks to me as if 得られた should be passive, but I seem to remember learning that this verb is not used in the passive, so is it actually potential?
b) Same question for 試みられて: passive or potential?
c) What is the purpose of 化? Why not just 理論?
3. Next sentence:
もっとも、人間の行動がすべて理論化されて予測可能に なるわけではないが。
My translation: "Of course, (if) human actions are completely explained by theory, (then) perhaps it is (also) possible to predict them."
I assumed が was a typo for か, but on the audio it also sounds like が. I thought it must be か to give the expected meaning "maybe it's the case that...". What's going on here?
4. Next sentence:
その代表的なものとしてワイナーの原因帰属理論がある。右の表を見てわかるように・・ ・
a) What does その代表的なもの refer to? Could it refer to 右の表?
b) In what sense is として used? Could it be saying that Weiner's theory takes the form of その代表的なもの?
